Anyone regret the White iPad?

Questions for people:

I bought an ipad 2 from a friend w/ cash who bought it from apple with his credit card. If I want to return it, how would they refund me? could they refund me with cash or they would reimburse my friend?

If you attempt to return it they will put it back on his card. You'd have to have his card as well.

You're better off getting a refund from your friend.

I'll just reply that my reply is being sent from my white iPad2 while I sit at brunch in my pink button down shirt.

I'm not sure if I'm getting looks for great looking white iPad2, the pink button down shirt or how masculine I am for being able to pull off both at brunch.

I think the looks are mostly because your boyfriend is sitting there too.

Got a white 64 3G one. Sold it 12 hours later. Couldn't stand white. Looks very cheap.

Now have black one on order from 3 places, and none has shipped yet!
 
I've now had a white iPad for a week and a black iPad for a week. I'm very glad that I returned the white and went with black. Definitely made the right choice with the black.
 
Loving the white -- wouldn't own a black one.

Personally, I wouldn't own a black one. The white one is sharp and very classy. Anyone that likes the white iPhone will love the white iPad.
 
Was in my local Apple store, and i know this sounds far fetched but the tables with white ipads were full of people trying them out, yet the black tables were pretty much empty, very stark difference!
 
Few of us in the office have them. I've got the black, two others have the white. After having them both tell me repeatedly they wish they'd got the black, I'm not complaining :)

I am still on the fence about this. I got my phone converted to white.

while I like the white look, the black phone looks still amazing... and sometimes I regret making the switch. also the white iphone has paint peeling issues. I hope the ipad2 does not. I heard this was the reason for the delay of the white iphone release.

I think we're sitting on the same fence! :cool:

I ordered a white 64Gb Wifi iPad (coming Monday!!) but ever since my visit to a local Apple Reseller to look at the white in comparison to the black, I have been on said fence. I liked the look of the black better, but mainly because the white just didn't look right somehow. I'm hoping my feelings will turn back towards the white when I get it in hand on Monday.
 
Had black, traded it for white. Under most lighting conditions, it looks off-white/grey to me. Looks great browsing the web or reading ebooks. No regrets.
 
I went to Best Buy and checked them out side by side before I made my decision and ordered, and the white one looked really dirty and cheap. The black looks very classy and in my opinion I don't see why anyone would get the white.

Like I said, that's just my opinion.
 
I got myself a white leather case covers the entire Ipad 2. So my Ipad is black with a white case. Best of both worlds!

I realised being white was a risk it was too different and couldn't go back but a cover I can easily remove.

I seen some white covers or skins/stickers for the iphone 4 to make it look white. If anybody has seen these for Ipad 2 send a link as it would really give the best of both. My only concern is it would leave marks.
 
of course no one's going to admit they made a mistake after plunking down 5 or 6 hundred bucks on something. you'd defend that decision to the death.

White iPhones don't have paint so how can it peel? You must have bought a knock-off like "iFone." LOL

If you're on the fence with regard to the white, I suggest you go for the black and save yourself heartache down the road.
If you have to convince yourself that you like the white, instead of it being an instant decision, forget it. :D
 
Had a black one for two days and exchanged for a 64gb wifi only versus the 3G. Upon arrival to the store, all they had was white. No matter to me. I like the white. It's different and is nice for web browsing.

I really could care less either way.
