what's up with page six?

edit: oh nvm. It showed a page 6, but when you clicked on it, it went back to page 5.

Anyway, can anybody answer my question?

Have a question. I bought iLife and iWork. I'm going to put it on ebay and wanted to advertise it as having iLife and iWork. How would I go about leaving this installed when I wipe out the HD? TYIA

Wipe the hard drive, and just include the disks with the computer? If you digital downloaded the program, just give them the serial. If you got it illegally, too bad.

My parents had purchased two base UMB for my sister and me for graduation, and fortunately it was within the 14 days, so I went to best buy and they gave me credit to purchase the new ones without the restocking fee. Since they were actually cheaper, I went today and picked up a base model and the 2.53 GHz model for $100 more. And I got two Canon photo printers for $10 each (they were marked incorrectly). Talk about a good day.

Unfortunately I can't use it yet since it is currently transferring all my files from my previous Mac through migration assistant...wirelessly. It's painfully long (8 hours/ 4 more to go).

Does anyone know how I would go about getting Snow Leopard for $10 since I just purchased them?

June 16th those details are to be released. Rest assured that apparently you will receive snow leopard for $9.99

i dunno why they reckon its a 'collectors edition' i prefer to call it a limited edition because its probably the shortest lived apple product line, the aluminium macbook (without pro written beside it).

I think they should have left it as a non-pro but having pro written there does make it sound better, that is a definite. im not saying its not suitable for a professional, it definetely is but the pro name should be there to upsell to the 15" and 17" models

it reminds of iPod photo i bought long time ago. it was only a few months before iPod video came out.

It was actually called "iPod Photo" for about a month, and then renamed to "iPod photo." And then five months later, it was merged with the standard iPod line.

I remember actually saving up to get one at the time, since I believe it was $699 for the 60 GB model. By the time I had the money, the fifth generation had already been released!

If I had money coming out of my ears I'd replace my White MacBook.. But I've grown so attached to it and it was really expensive.. I bought it with blood sweat and tears.. Translation: Working at Mc Donalds every day after school and every weekend!

I was tempted - very tempted so I took the first steps in taking the plunge. I put my 2.0 Unibody on CL on Wednesday and it sold a couple of days later. Crunching the numbers in conjunction with the edu offers, I would lose less than $100 so it was worth it IMO. I'll be waiting a week to purchase my 13" MBP. :apple:

I do wish I had that SD slot! I always have to carry my camera cable with me in my bag. It would just be convenient.

money is not the issue. whenever my computer fails, my apple store geniuses are to lazy to do repairs, so they just replace my computer. my current unibody 2.4 macbook is a reincarnation of a 2008 white macbook i purchased for school. trust me, even if something as minor as an airport card fails, those guys will offer me a replacement in a heartbeat. i love my apple store. :p

Haha. Reincarnation. Seriously though, the new Macbook Pro 13 is basically the same as the old unibody Macbook. It's only a pro in name. Adding a FW800 port doesn't make a machine 'pro'. Be happy knowing you have one of the few 'limited edition' aluminum Macbooks :)

It's not really limited edition or collectors edition because they are still being sold on the apple store as refurbished.

You Da man!
Looks great! Thanks!
Dude that's awesome... Mad props. 
Thanks, guys. Enjoy!

I was over the in mbp threads....and it seems many of the 13" mbp's are throttled down to a 1.5 gb sata connection. 733 posts so far. The consensus is that the people who bought the intel and other premium ssds aren't getting the full speed benefit out of them because of the connection, and there's a lot of people who are right pi$$ed.

Another apple giveth, apple taketh away upgrade...

Yeah, I read that thread. Who da man now, huh? MacBook CE FTW!

I do hope for all the people who've bought the 13" MacBook Pro that this issue can be fixed with a firmware upgrade, though.
