Can anyone tell me how homepod works with Radio? One of the things i love about Alexa is how easy it is to get on BBC radio. Is something similar possible with Siri and home pod?
I was really excited about the HP, then my excitement declined after some initial review, but decided to get one for my birthday anyway. I now own three, and have swapped by Hive lightbulbs to Hue, to get the most out of HomePod/Siri/HomeKit and I love it!

I really want stereo to use with my Apple TV, have you figured this out![]()
Costco has them reduced to $329, so I think this is a good time to add. I think there are a lot of folks waiting for stereo and multi-room capabilities, but for now, I am enjoying them individually in different rooms. I also like the way they look.
Can someone answer me this cuz whenever I ask an Apple freak they cannot answer in a dignified manner. So Apple HomePod can only play audio out of whatever Apple approves of correct? Meaning of you have a non Apple phone or TV or Bluetooth Blu-ray etc it won’t play through HomePod because Apple doesn’t want you to?
I already have four HomePods, and I love them. One in the living room, one in the bedroom, one in the kitchen, and one in the bathroom. I'll consider adding to my HomePod herd when AirPlay 2 arrives. In the meantime, I am absolutely delighting in the sound of my HomePods. They are much better than the Echos I got rid of recently.
This is not entirely true. For starters, you can officially use the HomePod as an AirPlay output device from Windows PCs via iTunes, no Apple hardware required here. Furthermore, there are some unofficial (but from what I heard, still pretty good) solutions to use AirPlay-enabled receivers like the HomePod as audio outputs for all the audio a PC is outputting. There are even some software solutions like that for Android, and there are Android phones like the HTC 10 that are natively compatible with AirPlay without additional software. I've even read of someone streaming audio from a Raspberry Pi to a HomePod, though that is more experimental terrain. You are correct. The HomePod will only play though Apple’s devices, to include ATVs. I am currently using my HP’s on both, Sony & LG TV’s.
Are there any issues with using HomePod in the bathroom?
I know Sonos has a speaker that’s useable in an area with humidity, curious how your HomePod has performed.
No issues so far, it's right next to the shower. I keep the bathroom door open when showering though, and I make sure that the curtain on the HomePod's end is closed so spray doesn't hit it. So humidity doesn't seem to be a problem for it the way I shower. The open door lets a lot of it out into the kitchen and other areas.
Added benefit of giving the folks spying on you at Apple and the CIA a nice soundtrack of your pooping.

Only if you make a habit of starting the process by saying "Hey, Siri."Added benefit of giving the folks spying on you at Apple and the CIA a nice soundtrack of your pooping.

I won't ask for a show of hands on that one.
The fact that it's listening for you to prompt her with "Hey Siri" means she's listening all the time.
It’s a two-level listen though. There’s a local part that basically throws everything away that doesn't begin with “Hey Siri.” Only when that part wakes up does it send any message on the wire. No “Hey, Siri,” nothing on the wire.
