I found a screen shot of battery usage on the 7 that I had and was quite surprised to find one.

So I had 2% after 10 hours and 8 mins of usage.

Here is the screenshot on the 7 Plus that I posted earlier:

So assuming linear depletion, the Plus would have 2% battery left after 12.8 hours.

Typically the difference will not be that much, I was 50/50 on wifi/LTE for the Plus and 25/75 for the 7.
You'll normally get more out of the first half of the battery than the second when going by the battery percentage reading on your phone.
Your 7 stacked up quite well against your 7 plus.

Upgraded to a Plus a couple weeks ago. I'd say it's about a gain of an hour to hour and a half. In my experience...

Thanks! What about the standby time? Listening to music over headphones? Does it drain slower?

Interesting, my usage is pretty similar but the battery consumption is very different. Are you sure some app isn't always active in the background?

I started this thread because a lot of websites that reviewed the iPhone 7 are reporting terrible battery life. They say that the 7 Plus can get "an extra 3 hours of usage". Some say the iPhone 7 can't even last a day, but the 7 Plus can last two days. Reading the posts here, it seems like the 7 Plus is only marginally better than the 7

You have to take many of the reviews with a grain of salt. I have a 7+ and the only time it lasted two days, was when it was left in the car. The standby time is great on this thing but the battery will quickly drain once you start using it again.

Here is from my LG V20. Somewhat heavy use today as I have been off, and been really busy running around town and using the phone. Will need to charge it so I can make it through the evening. Pathetic to say the least. I can't wait to get my 7 plus back.
what's your screen ON time?

Any opinions? I'm a little suspicious because my 7 is definitely losing more battery in standby than I expected. Note that many of those 100 standby hours were in flight and battery saving mode over night.

Jeeeeez a hundred hours??? Looks normal to me. It will eventually drain while on standby.

Did you by any chance have a 6s or a 7? How was the battery life compared to them?

If you leave it on standby for 8 hours over night (normal standby on cellular signal not flight mode) how much battery percentage does it drop on average?
If it's less than 6% it's within normal range I reckon.
Example mine would lose 2% on average.
My girlfriends would lose 4% on average.
My old 5s would lose 3% on average.

It's already dropping 3-4% over night in flight and battery saving mode. So it's definitely much more when I leave it on normal standby. I guess it would be at least 1%/hr.

Here's another observation I made: I usually turn my iPhone off over night. When I did so yesterday, I was at 55%. When I turned it on today, I was at 54%. Seems plausible that the starting routine consumes 1% of battery. But then, within the first few minutes (5-10) of usage, the percentage drops at least another 4-5%.

I've never seen such "behavior" from my previous iPhones, as most of them wouldn't drop a single percent after turning it back on in the morning.

I lose around 9% over a period of 9 hours on my 7. Always been around 7-9% since iPhone 4s days.

I lose 1-2% in about 7-8 hours overnight.

I used to turn my phone off but stopped doing so since the 6. I believe I was losing around 5% with the 6/6s.

Still on my first full charge after getting my 7+ but on 2.5 hours receiving notifications with LTE on the phone dropped 1% (7+) whereas my 6s dropped 4-5 and my 5s dropped 8-10%. Very happy.
[doublepost=1492008103][/doublepost]If this continues, my 7+ should get 10-11 hours of usage on its first charge. With this usage, that's... 2.5 to 3.5 hours more than my 6s with the same usage. Again, I'm happy.

Yeah that's how it should be if nothing's draining your phone in the background. My 7 usually loses about 2% overnight .. sometimes only 1%

1% per hour on standby is excessive and not typical of iOS from experience. I would probably try a dfu restore.

the only time I've ever seen that kind of standby drain on iOS was on my launch day iPhone 7 which was faulty and exchanged by Apple. That would lose 12 - 15% over night.
Even my old 42 month old 5s with 23% battery wear only drains about 3 or 4% over night (8 hours).

How many cellular signal dots do you have? Where I live, it's around 3 to 4 dots. I turn off my wifi router when I'm going to bed, so the phone is on 3G. Maybe that's why it's draining more.
