I didn't have an opportunity to charge my phone last night, so when I went to bed it was at 64% battery. This morning, after about 7 hours it was at 61%, so just as others have said it lost 3% overnight on wifi.

I let my battery deplete until I couldn't stand it any more. Lol

Here are the results

I believe the 7 had 2% battery left with 10 hr. 8 min usage and 30 hr. 43 min standby.
The standby time is noticeably higher with the 7 Plus. The usage time is lower but the 7 only had 15% Facebook usage, just a thought.

Thanks for the info. So in conclusion, the 7 Plus has approximately 1 hour of extra usage?

No, that's not what I am saying or what the screenshots show. The standby time is definitely more but the actual usage time has too many variables.

Like I mentioned before, get the Plus if you want but not for longer lasting battery.

I got my 7 + around a week ago coming from a 6s 4.7.
Battery life is amazing compared to the 6s.

omg this is exactly me!!! Except 3 weeks ago. I hated the 6s' battery life so much it was so unbelievably stupid. Its like it may as well have not had 4G/LTE because the instant you start turning it on, it goes down by a % per minute, did get it checked by the Apple Store and they said nothings wrong thats normal, well, lol, 6s can take a hike. Good riddance. Got tired of having to charge it twice in one day

7+ reminds me of my iPad because it comfortably lasts a heavy duty day, all day long. Well done Apple (y)

How bad was your 6s? Got any usage times to compare?

Well, I went ahead and bought a 7 Plus. Looks like it has about 2 hours of extra battery life. The standby drain is way less compared to the 7. It does get very warm though, but overall, great phone!

Unfortunately not, I can roughly remember I'd get about 3-4 hours of "usage" out of it with 4G on. I'm sorry but when an Apple Store employee told me that's normal, that's (6s) pathetic and I don't miss it. There is no point paying for mobile data if you are going to be discouraged from using it. As for usage sans 4G?? Then about 5 hours, close to 6 if I'm lucky.

Nowadays on my 7 Plus I get 8 hours of usage / 17 hours on standby, and that's with 4G on. Quite impressive.

It gets warm at the start when you buy it because it'll be very busy downloading from iCloud if you went that route, but after that it's all g! I found after a very short time you completely forget about the larger size, I sure did - and now I just look in disbelief whenever I see a 7/6s at the store and see how absolutely tiny it is....

Haha yeah same. At first the phone was humongous, but now the 7 looks so tiny lol.

It's been about a week since I got this and it still gets warm occasionally. It gets warm right below the cameras. Not always, but sometimes.

I found a screen shot of battery usage on the 7 that I had and was quite surprised to find one.
16ff3018510865264cdce514a432ecab.jpg

So I had 2% after 10 hours and 8 mins of usage.

Here is the screenshot on the 7 Plus that I posted earlier:

So assuming linear depletion, the Plus would have 2% battery left after 12.8 hours.

Typically the difference will not be that much, I was 50/50 on wifi/LTE for the Plus and 25/75 for the 7.
