You can't charge older watches on QI devices/charges, I've tried.
balls. Thanks for the confirmation
dont suppose theres any chance of a software update to unlock the feature? (yes I'm clutching at straws)
up to 18 hours per today's presentationWhat's the battery life on these new models? Apple didn't say did they? That's key for me
Had a Stainless Steel Original model since launch day, 2015. Love it. Was all set to upgrade as starting to yearn for GPRS.
And then I saw the selection of Series 3.
Firstly; I HATE the red crown button. Seems a really odd, non-neutral colour to stick on the side of a watch.
Next, I want Stainless steel. I don't think the regular case looks particularly nice. I love my shiny current watch. It looks smart. If I want that in a S3 watch, I have to buy a Hermes edition.
And Hermes all come with the cellular option, which I have no interest in whatsoever (and is exclusive to a network I've no interest in joining FWIW).
So, it's a no-sale for me. I love most Apple products because they're the perfect marriage of technical functionality and good looks. I think they've dropped the ball here.
Sticking with my old watch and waiting for the Series 4...
At $10/month? No thanksThink I'll upgrade for the cellular option. I often leave my phone behind and would benefit from the cellular option.

So can you receive texts and iMessages without phone?
I wasn't sure and can't seem to find anything on that. All I see is phone calls.Yes correct!
until smartwatches reach at least 1 month battery on single charge I am not buying any ...
enough is enough
Why? Do you not charge your phone every day or two, anyways?
this is a watch not a phone ... my Rolex watch works without any batteries continuous ...
we squeezed a PC inside phones , leave the watches alone please or make them last so we accept them.
