I have a S2 and as much as i do like the LTE option i won't be upgrading this time. I will see what S4 will have.

You can talk on all the watches, they just need your phone within Bluetooth distance. Series 2 was waterproof. The new Watch adds a $10 a month fee to use without your phone nearby and an ugly red dot.I heard that you can't talk on the new I watch. Now I hear that it's waterproof and you can talk on it.

Don't see why it wouldn't. I don't have any Qi chargers to try it with, though.Something I am unclear on. Does the series 3 support other QI chargers?

I'd like to use the apple watch but the garmin I have with a week-long battery (a bit less with longer tracking runs) remains the only viable option... Though given how Apple has paid little attention to battery across its whole range, I doubt future series will see a 7-day battery life.Hard-pressed to understand how the cellular Series 3 has the same battery life as the wifi+bluetooth only Series 3.
and i just got a series 2 early this year so won't be buying a series 3. might go for a series 4. but these things are pricey and i can't be spending that much annually on a new watch with my budget. it would be different if i were after the sport model, but i prefer the stainless.
I'm excited.....as an 24/7 on call homebirth midwife, one of my biggest fears is leaving my phone somewhere, and my watch disconnecting and not being contactable.....so that takes care of that problem!
I would love this. I love the "find my phone by pinging it" feature but this would be so useful. Also I would like to see the apps return that left Watch OS a few months back. I used to love checking eBay from my wrist.Ah --
What do you guys want to bet that an LTE- and GPS-equipped AW can successfully use a Find My iPhone feature?
The shortcoming of the earlier AW models was (1) the S0 and S1 couldn't know where they were at all times because of lack of GPS, and (2) not even the S2 could discover where your iPhone was, nor could it download maps and directions, without a cellular data connection.
All previous third-party attempts to locate and guide you to your phone depended on the phone being nearby, remember? But that might not be the case now.
Passing on upgrading, minor changes from series 2. Can wait another year or two.. or three. Apple hasn't taken face development seriously yet. For all the talk about Apple TV being a hobby device, I feel the Apple Watch is even more so for them. They haven't done much to allow their most personal device.. to be just that.. personal. You really can't customize anything. The cellular thing is cool but come on.. 10.00 a month.. or 120.00 a year isn't worth it. This should be free as long as you have an active cellular account.
At $10/month? No thanks
