Staying away from the special editions. A friend of mine got the Hermes and less than a month the band is falling apart. Apple quotes months for a replacement.

Nothing it is a essentially a sport model with a different band and a special face. That is why it costs the same.
It's says available oct 28th , what are really the chances of walking into a store & picking one up , or reserving one that day ? Hmm

Then he said it would ship on the 28th & id have it early November, but if it shipped on the 28th I could have it overnighted. Either way I can't really get a clean cut answer. Oh well.. who knows anyways
How did you change your order to be pickup instead of shipping? I'm not finding that option in my apple.com order.

Mine says Oct 28 too, ordered Sep 10. Seems everywhere I go, I'm reminded of it coming.
Whelp Nike just sent emails out if your a member , & you can pre order with them & have it on the 31st .. so that's what I did black/volt 42mm.. I'm excited again not having to wait until early November.
Weird , hopefully I get it on the 28th , but I selected overnight shipping & it had a est of the 31th. If it comes earlier I'll be a happy camper

Not bad at all, a few gems always slip threw the cracks. Every year I hope I might be the lucky one who's iPhone will arrive a day earlier then the launch day. Hasn't happened yet tho lol.
Some interesting tidbits from (cough) another site. To be fair, sounds like all they've done is to video an Apple guy at an Apple Store going through the Nike+.

In my opinion, Apple should have to let us interchange the straps as they do with the other models. In my case, I've pre-ordered the silver one but I'd preffer the strap black/yellow and by watching the video, I'm sure about that. However I won't be gonna buy more original straps so I'm afraid I'll have to wait till 3rd party launch something similar.
I too think they should've let us choose. Loving the silver body/face and black/volt band combo.

I have a silver Series O and only considered the Space Grey because of the Black/Volt strap! In any case, looking forward to it. Should suit most of my existing bands - as long as I'm not too hung up about the silver pins and lugs...
I like the silver/yellow strap too but I like too much the other one. I've already bought two straps from 3rd. party ;-)
I'm very surprised no company's are replicating the Nike plus bands already. I know I'd be ordering a few different colors.
I ordered the Apple Watch Nike+ with the Black/Cool Gray band but what I really want is the Flat Silver/White band to go with the Space Gray case. Anyone want to exchange bands!?
