iPod touch Anyone's touch shipped from Apple Online Store Yet?

HA HA. Welcome to the club bez, me and immemorial have the same thing. give us the first 4 #s of ur order number w/ fedex. We might all be on the same shipment, and btw, this is like the second to last shipment going out b4 like, a week from now when it resumes in china
 
The real question is, do these guys have FEDEX pushing through Saturday to get these out? Cause mine is currently an hour and a half away in Indianapolis (I'm attending college in Athens, Ohio) and this guy could have a good chance of getting here today. I got an int'l shipment release from Indianapolis at 2:09 this morning. Lets do it FEDEX.

Yea, I am sure FedEx is defianetly playing a part with this, but as well, I know that they are almost defianetly moving all resource and extra planes to China, trying to get all backordered and late shipments out as fast as possible. That and the holiday is coming up, so FedEx might go voertyime on int'l shipments from China because of this. Again, with FedEx, this has happened b4, I ahve seen them work through a weekend to get backorders out, so, I am sure this is another case. I also heard that aone FedEx plane that comes to my town from New York City is being restationed in China,seeing as they need it more, so that is one less plane going over my house!
 
I guess what I'm really asking is, has anybody gotten their iPod Touch on a Saturday? Or are they holding off all deliveries till Monday?

Hey cool, my tracking # also begins with 953362... :) I just checked FedEx once again and it's "In Transit" now. The previous line item said "Package received after FedEx cutoff" so that had made me a little grumpy! Hahaha. Perhaps it'll get here next week and I'll get my $50 off at the same time. That would be sweet!

Okay. Jenkins, I beleive they will move the shipment today, Saturday, because of the delays and holiday coming up. I don't know about Sunday in the US, but in China it is Monday, so the orders should continue to move. Now, bez. I don't know exactly, because I don't live in Canada, but it may arrive sometime between Oct. 3-5, depending on where it is routed once it reaches Alaska. From there it might go staight into CA, or it might go to mainland first, and then cross the border. i have known that most shiments that are placed through Alaska, are either routed into the US and to Indianapolis or memphis, or they are shipped straight into CA. I couldn't imagine getting it anylater than next thursday or friday. But still, we are FINALLY getting them. Also, you should have received an email from Apple, altough, hafl the time they don't know the difference between when it shipped and when it will arrive, so I wouldnt trust it. If you go to the FedEx website, i beleive there is a link there to get tansit times. Just enter Kunshan, China and then you city and country. I hope this helps. I live in New York State, in Rochester, and I am getting mine next Wed., the 3rd, and it will go through Alaska. So I hope you get yours soon!

Oh, and plus, they do usually ship on Saturdays, EXPECIALLY because fo the delays and such, and as well, once FedEx actually RECEIVES the package, they can give you mroe info as to when it will be delivered. Listen to FedEx, csu 95% time they are right

nice jer. it is so funny. we are all getting ours like, on the same exact palet, and same exact plane. what city do you live in?
 
mine is still Package Data Transmitted. so, im not sure, but half the time FedEx doesnt update the site, so when I call it is way more accurate.

you should try calling, they will prolly give u more info.

btw I have standard shipping as well
 
Ok, I'll just keep an eye on FedEx then. I'm kinda teetering on the edge here though. If it doesn't come today, then I have to wait through a long, boring, church filled sunday until i can see it, and probably miss the FedEx guy while I'm at class, on Monday.

I'm in Ottawa, Canada. Yeah it's too cool we're all in "the same boat", well in this case same airplane. LOL

ha ha, me too. only problem is, if it just shipped yesterday, next day will get it here. if it is just express, it wont arrive until after sunday. if it is 3-5 day, it will arrive sometime around wed.

My invisibleSHIELD is 3 days late, no i am getting really p.o. supposedly, i need to allow 1-3 days for vendor delays. so, if I dont get it monday, i am going to sue(lol, thts what I said about my ipod:D)

Sweet! Being in the US you'll probably get yours before us in Canada even though coming down through Alaska is closer to Canada than mainland US ;) It'll be interesting to see the difference between arrival times.

okay: here is the procedure:
1. FedEx will attempt delivery. If it is not signed for, the driver will keep it.
2. FedEx will attempt delivery again.
3. If 3rd attempt is not taken, product is return to sender.

NOW. Go to www.apple.com/orderstatus
login, and click on order details>
clcik on Pre-Sign for this shipment. There is more info about this, so you can pre-sign and the driver will leave it at your door. Hope this helps
all you do is accept, then print the form, sign it, and tappe it to your door the day it is supposed to be delivered. The deliverer will take it and leave the product there.

You can actually check the serial code on the Apple Order Status page so that's why I know it is a week 36. I am in Western Canada and we have to Apple Stores here so there isn't an easy way to return it if I have any problems.
