a billion for the most part crappy programs that are basically a waste of time!

Meanwhile good programs people are dying for dont get released!

Honestly Im getting fed up with apple and ATT!

Why be so negative at a time like this? Obviously you never downloaded iFart or Baby Shaker.

Big deal. Call me when it hits a Trillion!

/snaps out of it.

Oh, Sorry. I've been corrupted by politicians. Like government spending, a billion just isn't very impressive to me any more. REAL men deal with trillions, baby ... TRILLIONS!

Um, no.

Where does it say that? You didn't have to be the billionth app downloader.
You just had to download an app in the timeframe that was provided.

As it states in the official rules:

Don't call others ignorant.

Umm, sorry you failed and decided to argue and prove my point. F-

PS I only called those who argued ignorant. Try looking it up some time and you will see it has something to do with lacking knowledge.

I guess you're right. My fault. You still might have to calm down though. People make mistakes. You don't have to put up red texts, make the font size bigger and bold them to prove the other person wrong. Just a thought.

According to the rules. none of the entries before the 1 billionth counted. "The winner shall be the person who downloads the billionth app, or the person who submits a non-purchase entry directly after the 999,999,999th app has been downloaded." Sorry to say but there was only one entry that counted

Wow, you're bad at reading the rules.

I thought this was sorted when the contest was announced.

THE WINNER IS THE PERSON THAT DOWNLOAD THE APP AFTER THE 999,999,999 APP WAS DOWNLOADED OR THE PERSON THAT SUBMITTED THE NON-PURCHASE FORM AFTER THE 999,999,999 APP WAS DOWNLOADED

Nope.

Please don't try to argue, this is the way it is stated in the rules, and any other statement is ignorant.

So... I guess that Apple, who said that up to 25 apps per day count as entries into the contest, are ignorant. Please research your side when arguing in the future. It's less embarrassing that way.

How is it that people still don't get that this isn't a drawing?? It's the person who downloaded the billionth app. No drawing and not random.

And once again, nope. :p

Love how you pin all of those misleading statements down. Can you purchase things from the Apple Store with the 10,000 iTunes Store dollars or is it just restricted to iTunes?

I'm going to say it's just iTunes. Apple Store Gift Cards are non-iTunes-specific, and iTunes cards are iTunes-specific.

Still, that's a heck of a lot of media.

Dumb mistake, but maybe I will win....

Well I kinda went on a spree this week and cut my checking account close. I ended up bouncing my account and ended up paying 34 bucks for a 1.99 app....:rolleyes:well anyways maybe I'll win something.

I'm a little upset about the whole thing. I was waiting until the last minute to download twenty five apps quickly. When I finally tried to do it I had to sign a new terms of service and then the session kept saying it timed out. So I had to restart iTunes. Right at that time the app store hit a billion. effffffff

If you let the page just sit there counting away, you probably saw rollover long after it actually happened.

I refreshed after leaving the tab open for several hours and the counter was a whole 3 million higher than before the refresh.

So ... when the count reached about 30,000 before rollover, I started downloading FREE things randomly.

Meaning? I had a better chance of winning than many of you. :D

Fail.

Wow are you wrong... and arrogant about it.

"The prize will be awarded for the entry (either through an app download or through the non-purchase online entry) sent immediately following the download of the 999,999,999th app." if that entry happened to be your 26th download that day... you are disqualified. That simple.

17" mac book pro probably won by somebody that just got their iphone ipod touch (pc guy/gal) and didn't even know about the give away

Tallest Skil you have no idea...

The prize will be awarded for the entry (either through an app download or through the non-purchase online entry) sent immediately following the download of the 999,999,999th app.

Skil, I demand an appology for all the times you've been so cocky and stated your misinformation as fact.

He did no such thing. He did what he's best at, stating misinformation as fact. I'm right he's wrong, fact.

Tallest is rarely wrong on what he posts on. Apparantly you refuse to look into his MP and mini threads....

although he was wrong about the mini update and he was adamant that the leaked image was fake* and was very hostile to those who believed it was real. I wouldn't say he's rarely wrong. I've called him out on quite a few things, yet he still posts BS as fact, despite me asking him several times to stop.

*even though it turned out to be real
