Clearly, if Giz had REALLY found this laying around, they would contact someone at Apple. The last thing they would do would be to post an article about it without permission.
They wouldn't risk future access to Apple events to do this. Therefore, it is an Apple plant serving to take the attention away from the recent Android phone announcements.

This is a controlled leak from Apple, to take peoples attention away from the the underwhelming, monumental f&£k up of the iPad launch.

If it is true, it is not bad. I had been complaining bout the size and thickness of my Iphone 3G but never thought Iphone will make a smaller one. Despite Iphone 3g is difficult to handle with one hand and fit in the front pocket, I was amazed with HD2 screen size. I hope iphone 4g will have better or similar quality of Iphone 3g. Why not dual flash??? Maybe that will be 2011 where they want you to buy again heehhe. Another thing .. how is the back glass resistant to drop???

I agree; also it doesn't make sense that Apple would put a front-facing camera in the new iPhone and not in the iPad. (Especially after the backlash for no camera)
Seems like there are just too many items on peoples "wish-list" to be true. Apple typically doesn't try to do everything..just be good at what they do attempt. The design of the case looks like a Windows device...are we sure this isn't a Windows Phone 7 device?

Thankfully it's possible to find out how much something weighs more accurately than just looking at it.Looks a lot heavier than the old one.
I think he was implying that Apple wouldn't allow Verizon to demand (or even request) anything, not that Verizon doesn't do it incessantly, which is well-known.

Because things move on. Although I love my June 09 MacBook Pro, and pleased to see that the last revision didn't change the beautiful design, I do hope that by the time I'm ready to upgrade (2 or 3 years time) that there is a newer, refreshing design.
If designs didn't move on, everyone would complain of boredom and move on to another product. Not something Apple wants it's customer base to do.

I think the outer case will see a revision.
The ipad has a fix that enables canceling automatic landscape mode
when flipped. IMO a welcome feature . There have been many occasions where I don't want it to automatically flip.
Maybe a preferences pane would do?
It would also make sense that one can do more things with side buttons, looking at the screen and see what is going on.
Too bad they had t make the screen smaller to fit it all in.
Since they are now competing with HTC the screen should get bigger.
Anyway it will still be the phone to emulate and beat

I love apple products, i think they are one of the best designed out there. But as for this, IM sorry ut its ugly. Make me hope they have something better. But then again, apple makes us fall in love with all their products. lol
