Yeah, if they are accurate, and the 5.5 has more pixels, then I'll probably go 5.5...and I'd never in a million years think I'd get a phone that size.

Just think how big it will be when it has the obligatory bump case fitted! I don't know about wall hugging adverts from Samsung , they'll be doing "iPhone Lugging" adverts next!

If the rumours are true about only the higher end iPhone 6 having a sapphire display is that possibly the reason we haven't seen much in the way of leaks for the 5.5" screen? I was under the impression the sapphire displays were being manufactured in the US and I'd imagine apple could keep a tighter lid on leaks compared to overseas.

What about this:

The fronts of the iphone 4.7 and 5.5 are almost the same length.
The 5.5 seems wider though.

So what the iphone 6L is a 3:2 phone like the 3/4/s.
At a 1920x1280 res.
Would be great for developpers.
And it would make sense.
Almost as tall as the 4.7 but 9mm wider.
Still usable with one hand?

I don't see any particular evidence that this is for a 5.5 inch iPhone.
What if it's for the 4.7 inch?
I would be blown away by the battery life!

I dont think two aspect ratios would be "great for developers"

I wish people would stop quoting mAh as battery capacities. They are not directly comparable, as the amount of energy retained depends on the voltage!

If true, this battery has 2.915 Ah * 4.35 V = 12.68025 Wh
According to the internet, The Galaxy S5 has a 10.78 Wh battery.

That gives the iPhone's battery a 17.5% higher capacity (rather than just 4% difference when comparing the mAh).

Sure. Better than ever. OK. Enjoy.

I gave it to my wife. She runs around with a battery charger in her purse. Just like everyone with an iPhone 5 and 5s.

Those wall hugging commercials are there for a reason. Because it is true.

I've never carried around a charger anywhere and I'm always fine with my 5s. I am a very heavy user, constantly streaming YouTube through airplay, listening to music, surfing the web, using iMessage, emailing, Instagram and Facebook, and mulitple games and I get through the day quite easily

It states 11.28 Whr on the battery. It is 2.915 * 3.82 =~ 11.2

It sounds like you're using wifi most of the time. Using cell vs. wifi is a huge difference when it comes to battery life. My phone regularly drains to <10% while I'm at work away from wifi. On the weekends if I'm at home, the battery lasts much longer.

That's a killer mAh value!

This is probably the best iPhone 6 rumor of them all!

I thought apple would be mean on battery capacity again instead of putting a battery as large as the competition.

If you know anything about battery tech, fitting almost 3000mAh into this space is insane but I do hope we can find a way to stretch it further with other new tech in this next iPhone, A8, backlight tech, software changes should see huge battery life! So excited now.

This spells trouble

If the iPhone actually get decent battery life, my two years i abstinence may be over. Still not the same juice as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which is about the same size as the rumored 5,5".

Hope you guys also saw this "rumor".

.
Useless.

How about some details on the resolution?? Will it be fuzz screen with same resolution as 4.7"??

You obviously don't have eyes, the iPhone has had plenty of pixel density and is sharper than any pentile rubbish from others, there is no FUZZ? AMOLED is a horrid tech that is no where near as pleasant to look at and has the worst junky colors on 99% of screens. 1080p is overkill and totally a spec for people to masturbate over rather than a need.

A resolution increase is only necessary if you literally hold the damn thing two inches from your face. Apple is not going to reduce the pixel density so you can be assured it'll be plenty close to 1080p for 5.5 inch.

I always find it mental people are looking for such high pixel densities on phones when physics tells you that you can't possibly perceive any difference and the content being displayed, apps webpages etc are so low resolution anyway. The reason most want 4k on TV or 1080p on phones is because they are watching content that is much lower res or highly compress junk.

Wow, a maybe actual iPhone 5.5" part leak! But be careful folks for we have all been down this road before with Apple, and in the end the leaks and rumours turned out to be false.

As for screen resolution, we'll considering more Android phones are getting 2k screen resolutions or higher now, Apple better step up their game or they will be slammed in the reviews, especially if they increase the price.

Does this mean all those new "wall hugger" ads are going to be short lived?

Never understood those ads as most of the iPhone users I know either have an external charger or a battery case like the Mophie or iBattz Mojo.
