moreover, he's not going to get job anymore, for sure not in high tech ... maybe at Motts to make applesauceWhen Apple gets done legally boxing Lancaster, he won''t be able to eat anything unless it is applesauce.

You'd think Prosser would be better at what he does if he had a direct, internal source like that, right?Jon Prosser.![]()
Indeed. At this point, he will be lucky if he can get a job working on the assembly line at Motts.moreover, he's not going to get job anymore, for sure not in high tech ... maybe at Motts to make applesauce![]()
If it was an Apple owned device that means that it was controlled by some sort of MDM software and as such Apple had an administrative passcode for the device... With a passcode most of the contents become unencrypted.ahhh...so its ok for apple to circumvent their own encryption to investigate an employee. but not for law enforcement....got it.

he should have left on day after resigning. Encrypt everything, go over to another nation, change his name, and milked it for millions. Instead he is in the US court system that will do everything possible to make their master, corporate overlord, happy. Including sending him to jail for life.Lol he wont get away.
See you in court Simon.
Get your passport ready and get ready to leave the country.
Thank you for your Service.
Sorry, where is this proof? I think you are making some fairly significant assumptions such as Lancaster having erased his phone or Apple not having the right and ability to access hardware supplied to employees. I believe it would be more reasonable to assume that Apple can access employees' hardware rather than jump to the conclusion that there is some great conspiracy. It could be as simple as "when returning your hardware please reset the password to 1234."Proof right here that NOBODY'S iPhone is encrypted in such a way that it's impenetrable. Apple can read what's on them and what was in them - if they want to
"Further, forensic review of the devices Apple provided to Lancaster for his work at Apple shows Lancaster and the Correspondent.."
Nah. I'll wager that he made tons more money selling leaks and trade secrets to the Chinese Apple Leaks Press. So does this mean Jon Prosser is out of business now?
Maybe it was the touch bar and that's why Apple is rumored to be getting rid of it.Lancaster was instrumental in the development of the 13"/15" Macbook Pro with the touch bar, and the design of unreleased Apple products.
Did he do the butterfly keyboard or the staingate display?
Pretty hypocritical of you guys for making fun of this guy on this forum. This is a rumors website... You and this website created the demand and are the consumers of his "stolen" goods.
Like a crack addict making fun of his drug dealer when the dealer gets busted.

It sounds like this person had a good position at Apple, therefore a good salary, so there may be serious financial consequences.
If the device was owned by Apple, then it is highly likely that Apple had an administrative passcode, since that is how enterprise device management works. If you have a device passcode you can read anything.Proof right here that NOBODY'S iPhone is encrypted in such a way that it's impenetrable. Apple can read what's on them and what was in them - if they want to

And yet here you are reading a website dedicated to disseminating rumours about Apple products. Presumably you don’t see the contradiction.Good for Apple. I hope this person goes to jail for a long time and pays heavy fines.
What people miss is they are stealing from their co-workers the joy of being part of an Apple launch, surprising the world, etc. It’s so selfish. And for what? Some indirect financial gains—maybe—and the ego stroking of knowing a secret.
These leakers are losers. Full stop. Pathetic losers.
Ha! Prosser’s not accurate enough for him to be the other guy.So does this mean Jon Prosser is out of business now?
It's a company owned phone. If you are a company giving all its employees iPhones as company phones, you call Apple, and the phones will be under control of your company. The company can unlock all their phones, read anything on those phones. And the same of course with Apple. Here, Apple is just like any other employer.Proof right here that NOBODY'S iPhone is encrypted in such a way that it's impenetrable. Apple can read what's on them and what was in them - if they want to
