Warning to potential unlockers/jailbreakers!

DO NOT update! That is always the recomendation the iPhone Dev team makes when a new OS is out. If you want functionailty and the unlock stay at the lowest OS version possible. In this case for iPhone 4 user's 4.0.0

Could they be rolling it out separately for different regions to prevent server overload? I reopened iTunes and still nothing after clicking check for update (says 4.0 is most recent). Going to try rebooting my Mac...

its there!

nevermind, all the notes say is it fixes the formula to calculate antenna bars. like that's going to do anything.... bleah

Any of those updating located on the East Coast? Still can't figure out why my iTunes won't detect update. Even ran software update and no updates in iTunes or anywhere else.

Edit: I'm an idiot... anyone who edited their /etc/hosts file in the past in order to verify SHSH blobs with Saurik's server, this is most likely my problem...

wtf, why is it so big for a antenna formula update? am i downloading an antenna insulator?

576.00 MB, I am surprised at these file sizes. Pretty soon, we'll be hitting the 1GB mark. Crazy.

Wow. 500+ MB for a calculation formula and a new signal indicator? I'm sorry, but that's kinda nuts. I'm going to wait to see if it is actually worth updating since I'm on a capped internet connection at home.

"Improves the formula to determine how many bars of signal strength to display"

That's the only change listed.

I just clicked on "check for update" and it came up...iTunes has been running since 8:30 this morning...didn't need to shut it down and re-start.
