The state of Alaska asked Obama to change the name. He didn’t just do it on his whim like this resident is doing.
yep. Alaska actually change it BACK to Denali (its original name) in 1975. And changing the name of a mountain is a lot different than changing the name of an international body of water that had the same name for centuries

I'm waiting for them to rename the N Pacific to West American Ocean and likewise for the N Atlantic.

I love it! Trump is bringing back sorely needed patriotism to this great country after years of being made to feel guilty for being American. These next four years are going to be the best in America since The Gipper!!
Hate to break it to you. The Gipper would be embarrassed. I bet you forgot that the Gipper granted amnesty to 3 million illegals as President in 1986.

These announcements are magician’s mis-direction.

Watch the moves against financial regulation, consumer protection, and the courts.

Must be pretty lonely where you are. Calling for "natural rights" on a stolen land is quite hypocritical and ignorant.
Gave me a good chuckle. Thanks for that.
No such thing as “stolen land”. The entire history of mankind is a never ending story of conquest and empire. Tribes conquered tribes, kingdoms conquered kingdoms, and civilizations conquered civilizations. Land is never truly owned, not in perpetuity, merely occupied for some amount of time. The more powerful you are, the better chance you have of occupying the land for the longest period of time.

I’m willing to bet that bear,y 100% of the commenters here outraged about the Gulf of America change had zero issue with Obama renaming Mt, McKinley.

In that situation, that President listened to the local Americans wants and made the decision to rename it what they wanted it named. It is a sacred mountain to those Americans and the name they already called it for a VERY LONG TIME in spite of distant GOV opting to call it something else for a relatively brief period of history. It is located inside of a park called Denali National Park... which ironically now no longer has the biggest mountain formally named Denali.

In this situation, this President didn't care what the local Americans there want it called and instead arbitrarily decided to rename it, probably driven by simply wanting to reverse "the other party" actions more so than honor some historical figure.

A President is supposed to serve the people, not rule them. A great way to serve them is listen to what they want and let that heavily influence a decision like this. Whether it is called Denali or McKinley or KooKooKaChoo pretty much has no effect on almost all Americans... but means much more to those Americans who live way up there in that vicinity. Did this President ask those Americans for input on this topic? Doubtful... or it would still be called Denali... what those Americans will still be calling it anyway... much like the bulk of the world will still be calling Gulf of Mexico by it's long established name... which- by the way- has little to do with the country called Mexico but harkens back to a time before there was a Mexico... or an America... or Americus or Amerigo depending on how far back we choose to review.

I don’t believe the boundary of the country is in question.
#4 is rich given that we had 1984 levels of truth censorship for the last 4 years.
So is that why Trump is banning some liberal media outlets from the press corps? Got to love the hypocrisy. Censorship is only censorship when the other side does it.

That old canard? Hardly stolen land but keep on with the victimhood
For the last 4 years all we saw was the victim card played over and over again. Oh the left is coming for our guns, they’re coming after our freedom of speech, they’re cancelling our businesses. There was so much whining about every little thing that it was almost unbearable. Don’t tell me you don’t remember any of that.

A stolen land is a stolen land. Hardly is the word used to minimize the impact by the perpetrators.
