Am I the only one that noticed that

Samuel was using a BLACK iPhone 4S
and Zooey was using a WHITE iPhone 4S ...

that could start some debate ... and the real question what this a deliberate move by the advertise makers ???

Probably man vs woman...most men choose the black iPhone while women definitely prefer the white iPhone...but the white wasn't always available.

So Zooey doesn't know the sound of rain, can't heat her own tomato soup, and she's dirty? All this time I thought she was a keeper.

Well, I've tried to make Siri understand "remind me in one hour to put the gazpacho on ice," and I can NOT schedule that one at all. I've said it over ten times now, and she never understands me.

Anyone successfully done that?

Theres a lot of hate for Siri....I like it, it seems to work mostly for me....

Tried the gazpacho one and it worked first time, pretty good seen as I don't think I've ever said 'Gazpacho' before...I actually have no idea what it is....

Her "being a keeper" implies a possibility that she could be yours. Unfortunately, that isn't the case.

Flash video on MR to advertise products that can not use flash?
Well if you already have an iPhone you don't need these ads. But still if you want to watch these videos here on iOS you're so outta luck.

The only time Zooey looks good is when she is professionally made up. On her own, she just looks wierd.

and dont get me started on her singing....

I won't disagree with you about her singing... But I like her look. It's not hot, but I would still call it attractive.

iPhone & iPad can?

Can we get a realistic one where Siri screws up and Samuel L Jackson lets loose a tirade of profanity?

This isn't 2007...YouTube automatically selects video type based on your browser, which means they play just fine on iOS. If your browser supports flash, it will use flash as they can more easily show you ads that way.

The iPhone 4S might be fine on AT&T, but as a Verizon customer living in the middle of a 4G LTE area it would be hard to go back to slow outdated 3G CDMA... Siri or not.

Anyone that has ever been on 3G on Verizon might want to bang their head against the wall. Seems to me AT&Ts got this one right. AT&T iPhone gives you 3 speeds. Edge, 3G (3-5Mb/sec), HDSPA+ (4-8Mb/sec). On Verizon you get that circle thingy (does that ever work?), or 3G (max 1Mb/sec). And you can't talk/surf AND you don't get rollover minutes! Nobody seems to care about minutes anymore, but it is a phone. Rollover rocks.

On iPad Verizon is a lock. Rollover is out of the picture and Verizon gives you free tethering and insane 4G LTE speed in more areas. Still, the 3G sucks, which is what you get on the road usually.

That's nice to know. I've never owned an iOS device.

YouTube is generally not flash. Most of the world is ditching flash for videos. And ads for that matter. The simply supply a separate ad for ios (or android) because less data too. YouTube was pretty much compatible from day one in 2007.

Those ads are laughable. SERIOUSLY?
How many of you get Siri to work that quick and accurate? hmm
I'm gonna say NOBODY.
I tell it to call "Dad" and I get,"Sorry, I don't see BAD in your address book...LMAO
Also, Why didn't they make it possible for us to tell Siri to call 9-1-1 ?

:D

"What's happening on nine eleven?" "Call fou*cough* one one" "find me a restroom, it's an emergency" etc.
"Calling 911..."

People probably say all kinds of weird things that might accidentally get Siri to call 911 if it was set up to do so. Just not a good idea

Would love celebrity voices as Siri. I'd definitely have GlaDOS :D

Or have a female British Siri voice, the male one doesn't sound right, I use the Australian one purely because she sounds gorgeous

"Turn left here, you monster."

Samuel: Siri, remind me to get ham and eggs at the store.

Siri: OK, here's your reminder for when you get to the store: To get cannon legs.

Samuel: English ****************, do you speak it?!

Siri: I'm really sorry about this, but I can't take any requests right now...

I tried: saying it quickly, saying it slowly, and taking my phone up to the speaker while he's saying it in the commerical. Siri didn't even get close on any of those attempts.

Haha I would love this

Yeah works great for you, not so much for me...So??

What's wrong with people who stated Siri doesn't always work the way they wanted to? Why the down votes?

People is not supposed to say Siri does not always work well? So all of us should lie and say Siri is 10000% perfect all the time?

Some people ...

It's because the people who vote those posts down are as bad, if not worse, than the fandroid fanatics. Apple could sell them a terd and they'd defend it's high quality.

Siri is an awesome feature, and it's got great potential. Some people have no issues with it... but LOTS of people do.

Everyone cried it wouldn't work on the iPhone 4... answer turned out to be better microphone on 4S... and there are still issues that might be more hardware related and not just software potentially.

I really think Siri will eventually be a top notch feature, but for now... its still a beta product that still needs lots of love.

Siri needs an AI. I think people think of Siri as being an AI and it's really not. She's basically an internet voice search that connects to a search engine and spits back things at you, and not with great accuracy at time. I'm not talking sky net, but she needs to be better able to understand the context of what people say, and not just the literal words that people say.

Like in the Zooey ad, she asks siri to find her tomato soup to be delivered. She does, but she just searched a food ratings site for tomato soup+delivery. Was it faster than open one of hundreds of apps that can do that same thing you type into? Sure, and that's where Siri is a win. Samuel asks to find organic mushrooms... siri spits out the location of an organic grocery store. Lots of stores have prices online... what would be cool with an Ai is for Siri to say, "whole foods has them on sale this week, but another lcoation offers organic mushroom that is five minutes closer." That's the more human spin.

Or if you ask for a car rental, siri would just tell you a list of car rental places near by. Yet siri could with a minor AI come back with not just a location, but a sale, special, coupon code, pricing, or ask you questions about what you want to rent to make it even better. And I think all those things will arrive someday in Siri and make it better.

What Siri does now is great. I liked it tons before Apple bought it and found it very useful. (Actually, it seemed to have much better recognition before in my opinion. The new Siri understands me only half the time, and the old one about 90% and gave often better results. It would even schedule a cab without me interacting with a cab company.)

So why do people get ticked off when someone says something bad about Siri? If someone is solely complaining on it's functions, okay, they're dumb. It does great things. It's just that for a lot of people, Siri doesn't understand english.

I like Verizon and it is by far the best choice in my area, however their CDMA 3G service is just very outdated. Slow speeds and no talking and surfing at the same time. I knew when I made that orginal statement that I would be downrated because there are people who think 4G LTE is bad only because Apple doesn't use it on the iPhone yet. The minute an LTE iPhone launches it will then become a great feature. Sorry but the Verizon iPhone is way behind on network connectivity compared to other phones and for people living in the middle of a 4G LTE area it's nice to enjoy speeds that are much faster.

Why did Tim Cook visit Valve? Who knows, but I wish it was to secure the rights to GLaDOS as a new siri voice...

Don't use celebrities as themselves in their Ads???

Post states

"Apple rarely, if ever, uses celebrities in their advertising, particularly as themselves. The "I'm A Mac" ads featured Justin Long and John Hodgman, but they were playing characters rather than acting as a celebrity endorsement. One notable exception was actor Will Ferrell, who did a number of iPod ads a few years back."

Do the early days of iTunes and iPods not count? I seem to remember a bunch of ads featuring music celebrities as themselves including one with a stage full of them all at once. Seems this statement is a bit off.
