Running low on iPads? Just use a rolling pin on an iPod touch and there you go; stock problem solved.
lol step up?
FOUR YEARS....FOUR.
wow...there was so much criticism after the ipad was announced but now apple is already running low on supplies!
But I know that if HP or Dell or Microsoft had released this EXACT product, it would flop. But because it has anon it, it will be more successful. Somehow Apple has managed to create this incredible "can do no wrong" image. Jobs could take a crap and stick an
on it and sell it and people would believe it's solid gold right now. It's a sheep mentality, but I guess kudos to Apple and their marketing team for creating such a strong brand.
I never would have thunk this... eva.
I thought people bought apple products because they were awesome.
Apparently not.
The iPad is 'meh' not 'awesome'.
The iPhone is awesome, the mac pro is awesome, the 27inch imac is awesome, the 17" MBP is awesome and the (cracked)apple tv+airport extreme is awesome .
Everything else is 'meh'. That includes the ipad, ipods, small screen imac, mac mini and the magic mouse (i get some severe RSI from using it it's such a painful thing. I wonder how painful the ipad would be to use while laying down to type/read/multitouch ).
Actually not haha, though I do prefer Google services/products in general.
It's funny you mention Google though, because Google also has been pretty effective at developing its brand. If Google released an iPad it'd probably sell pretty well too. Right now, the way I see it, brand worship follows this pecking order.
1) Apple
2) Google
3) Everyone else (who don't have a chance in hell)
It's strange to me that a lot of people don't really evaluate the product as much as the label attached to it.
Google products, plural? Could you name TWO google physical hardware products please? Google does have a brand, which is synonymous with internet searching, it has nothing to do with real world hardware sales.
In your opinion you mean? FWIW, the iPod revolutionised the planet, the iPhone revolutionised smartphones and dominated the global market within a year, and the iPad will do the same. People won't put up with crap - these devices are massive successes because they are insanely great. Yes, a small percentage may have issues with build, software or other faults - that's the nature of a production line and is unavoidable.
Will it be possible to remotely run a real Mac from the iPad? If I knew that I could get a hold of my primary computer anytime I wanted to that would help in making the decision to buy.

To you and most techies, iPad may not be awesome. But to the "average" person who this is really targeting, iPad maybe awesome.
i just smile at these netbook owners who either feel jealous of the iPad or feel dumb that they bought a netbook.

Apple does not make products that people has been wanting for a while. Apple produces products that the masses did not know they needed or wanted. People say Wow never thought of that, I need to get one.

Really?
You mean like the wildly successful Mac Cube?
....you don't really know what you are talking about, do you? It'd be a good idea if buy some Tums tonight. With that attitude, you'll need some help to control stomach acid.

iPod revolutionized the planet? MP3 players yeah; but the planet? hahahah!
This makes no sense; you make it sound like Apple comes up with all these idea's on their own (phone, music player etc); which at the least, is quite wrong. Apple simply takes idea's that have been around for (quite) a while and does their own version of them. By your logic people went; "Wow I think I need a phone! How did they ever come up with such an idea?" when the iPhone came out.
I will also not let him forget at launch, Steve said "this is the most important thing I've ever created!" and will recall that if sales don't pan out... like how Apple TV didn't pan out and is called by its own CEO the dreaded "H"-word (hobby). lol Might as well throw the MacBook Air in that "hobby" category when a product flops. It's aaaall about buzz w/ Apple. That's about all.
Giving consumers innovation they want and have never got before? Then why take out the camera when all its competitors are including it?
i'm happy knowing this is a sad and miserable day for apple-haters![]()
I'm a big Mac fan, but I don't really think there is that much demand for this product. Too many pricing options -- not sure what to get here. No camera. Not to excited about it honestly.
Poll on CNN.com -- are you going to pre-order an iPad?
95% said NO
5% said YES
I've got to wait and see it first
