Unfortunately with this new pricing trend will mean i will be looking else where for a smart phone. Other phones meet/ exceed iphone x from a hardware point of view and cheaper by almost a third.
Mac OS will be missed, its better than any other OS but i wont pay $1000 (£1000!!) for a phone

I've always upgraded my iPhone every two years, but not this year. I don't see anything worth it to me. My 6s still does everything I need it to do. The wireless charging is intriguing I will admit, but doing away with Touch ID on the X, I don't like.

Do you really have to swip upward on the phone with face ID?

Apple decides SUNGLASSES don't exist.

"If your eyes are closed or you're looking away it's not gonna unlock." - Phil Schiller
If you have gloves on or wet fingers you can't unlock with TouchID. FaceID looks to have fewer limitations. My wife frequently has difficulties with TouchID (I rarely do) so FaceID would be better.

Let the preorder madness start! I have a feeling there's going to be FaceIDgate or gorillaglassscratchgate coming up. In any case, I'm down for faster interface and access. The funny thing is, this looks almost like the original Palm Pre in terms of gesture navigation.

That price for the 10... Ridiculous. $1529 CAD for a 256GB phone... Literally cannot justify that. Can't believe they started with just 64GB on the low end as well.
It should have been at least 256GB and 512GB.

128GB is no longer enough, 64GB much less, specially for such an 'epic' phone.

Love the way Apple uses advanced hardware and software innovations together. Samsung competes with meaningless spec advantages in new models but still an inferior OS.

So they introduced the 8 and the 10. That leaves a gap between iPhones. What will next year’s iPhones be called? Is the 10 just a one off and they will all be called 8s or 9 next year???

I hoped the renders were wrong, specifically the camera layout (and to a lesser extent the eyebrow- please tell me the UI can be skinned with a dark mode).

Ah well, I'd be interested enough to visit the store and try it, but won't be buying. I'm guessing the design language will trickle down to the next iPhone which suits me just fine.

I've owned every other iPhone since the original. It is a little nicer than the 7, but it makes me a little sad that the Samsung Galaxy S is now a better looking phone. This is the first time in a decade that I'm considering the switch (not just because of the appearance). Unfortunately, I've never used android and I'm not excited about the learning curve.

Absolutely when it's price has dropped, I bet in a few months a Note 8 brand new will cost HALF that of the iPhone X new. Think about that... and you can increase its storage..

I cannot believe they've price gouged by dumping the 128GB option..
agreed

Note might well be phone of the year.

Solid iPhone but honestly that black notch invading the video/photos screen taking real state is such big no-no. I am amazed Apple let that slide. At least make sure video won't bleed into that area. SMH

I'll stick with my Samsung flip phone for now. The new iPhone is not too impressive.

I have Apple products as I like them for what I do. I am not however a zealot who will buy whatever comes out.

Really not too impressed for the huge upgrade cost, so will keep the 6 lines, 3 watches, etc and not upgrade.

I wish they had gone edge to edge and that notch is simply hideous. A faster processor is nice, but I don't even use the speed of the one I have.

Will wait for next year and see if anything makes sense and doesnt cost the same as computer.
