iPhone 7 Plus or 8 Plus looks so much like a better deal. If I wait another 12 months, I probably could get the 7 Plus brand new for $600. At the same time, my 6s has been working so well.

would anyone agree note 8 might be a better buy? (let's not include os here..i'm talking overall).

Well. In reality, nobody needs either phone. They're all luxury and vanity items, and neither provides any functionality that goes beyond what "affordable" smartphones that cost 1/5 of those beasts can do. But, well, those things will sell like hotcakes as usual, and people rather stop eating good food than walking through a shopping mall without these toys in their hands.

Depends on how long you tend to keep your phone. If you're expecting more than 2 years of software updates out of the Note 8... good luck to you

I'm saying no to the notch. Won't be purchasing.

The bezel should have been enlarged at the top, without the notch inside the screen.
Notch inside the screen is fine. But the top of the screen (on either side of the Notch) should be persistent status bar, black. Indistinguishable from being part of the Notch except that the info displayed is animated.

Why they didn't do this is beyond me.

Looks good, but like all new products, I'll let everyone else beta test it.

My new iPhone will be an 8. I'll catch the next wave of 'X' iPhones.

why even roll out an iphone 8 - the X should have been the 8. ridiculous to have two models. why do that ****? oh...can't believe the remote for the apple tv didn't get updated. that thing is horrible. otherwise, love the upgrade there...it's about 2 years too late but i do like the upgrade. i just hate the remote

No more unlocking the device while it is resting on my desk. Face Id seems to take more work to unlock the phone as well. Look and phone and then swipe up to get to the home screen. Liked touch id better.

If you look at the product video someone was able to unlock while it lay flat on the side of the pool, you just have to look down at the phone. Seems like it picks up faces at an angle and not just straight.

I've owned every other iPhone since the original. It is a little nicer than the 7, but it makes me a little sad that the Samsung Galaxy S is now a better looking phone. This is the first time in a decade that I'm considering the switch (not just because of the appearance). Unfortunately, I've never used android and I'm not excited about the learning curve.

you'll love it just like i did.

lol starting at 1.149 Euro. get the f outta here

Same as the amount in dollars- and another $200 for Apple Care. Still, since we have the option for a monthly payment directly with Apple, I bet more are sold than might be expected.

It's $200 more than the 8 plus. For $200 why not?

A Starbucks cost $5 a day, minimum, that is $1825 a year. Cut back on your Latte and you can have the X in no time. I like what they presented today. The sheer amazing tech that is under the hood is awesome. I can see this transforming home made movies with advanced CGI of Hollywood...the tech is inspiring and pretty darn.... "magical!" I'm in.
