You give me the impression that just because you can't afford it or don't want to pay the premium, you're hoping it won't sale well.
It will sell like hotcakes despite its price. The design itself amazes. If the three year old, clearly old looking iPhone 7 sold millions like there was no tomorrow, the jaw-droping new design of the x will raise sales to the top like never before.
If you really like to complain, move here. 1179e for 64GB, 1349e for 256GB. Should I buy a Macbook Air or a phone with a lock mechanism that works 1 out of 3 times? Let me think...

No, just no. There is a different message when you restart your device and when you fail to authenticate consequently. I cannot imagine they screwed the simple thing of not having both devices preauthenticated with faceid.

I’ll have to see how Face ID holds up in the real world; the demonstration of it did not exactly leave me convinced. Maybe Touch ID just works too well and is too convenient that I don’t want to give it up.
Not that I plan to get an X anyway. No smaller version means no sale for me. Some people may love those huge phones (and I will so I do love the camera features) but personally I want to control my phone with 1 hand and I can’t do that with a 5.8” display. Hopefully they make a smaller model flagship phone in the future. Would be a shame to have only the 2nd tier even be an option if you don’t want a huge monster phone.

There appears to be no physical sim-card in it. I don't see that small hole that is used to pop it out with a pin. Hopefully Apple has implemented that e-sim into the Iphone X as well as the new Apple Watch.
Apple is a business. A very small percentage of their market is power users on a forum debating on why the S8 or IPX is better -- the large chunk of their consumer will be teens begging their parents to stand in line or call their carrier mercilessly to upgrade to an X the day it comes out -- this feature caters to that audience.LMAO! 2 people just yesterday chose to ride me since I stated Craig and his team wasted time on Animated Emoji vs further improving iOS. Then when I rebutted using quick thought vs proper English they attacked me on that bs the actual content and topic. Pathetic cop-out to avoid the issue.
Sure nobody knows how much time was used to develop animated Emoji for exclusivity on iPhone X but seriously with all the advancement in the new phones the second presentation is on AniEmoji ?! Doesn't bode well for use of the technology and where it can go. I guess that's what developers are for.
My argument: if programming time was equivalent - why not allow use to delete messages on AWatch to sync with iPhone and vs versa?! Why no ability to Delete All on iPhone and AW?!
Siri can talk on Watch - I get that since benefits for Accessibility but battery life suffers. Jeff is TGE smartest person at Apple according to Bloomberg. He's doing well no fluff and junk with his presentations.

No bad word about Apple for some. Even if your comments are good arguments. Some people act like Apple is a religion, instead it's a well oiled machine taking lots of care for its shareholders and whenever there is an possibility to up the price they'll grab it. )It was especially hideous when showing photos and video. Poorly designed. S/H kept small bezel across entire top of screen for cleaner look like Samsung S8 has. "Insanely Stupid" Timmy!
