What? The Homepod Mini at least is the worst sounding speaker in my house, aside from a $30 Alexa that it just barely beats out.
It comes down to personal preference I suppose but I've found the mini to have a much punchier sound than other $100 smart speakers I have had with clear highs and lows especially at high volume.

I had an early pair of Sennheizer headphones, and they were amazing. Not noise reducing, but felt like feathers on my head, and the sound was so amazing. And they were priced at just over $100...

Wow those would be extremely nice for $349!

At $549 they're an embarrassment and a total non-starter.

I wish the ear cups folded in like with the Sony WH series Headphones. They are so much more comfortable when you have them just hanging around your neck and make packing them in a bag so much easier.

I agree about comfort, but having a swivel hinge there does seem to make them more fragile. It took Sony years to make headphones that didn't always break there after a year or two!

I bet you won’t distinguish between lossless and AAC 256 coming from same master in a blind test with matched volume.
Also, lossless bluetooth codec doesn’t exist. The closest is Sony’s LDAC but its lossy as well

Quite a big gap in the encoding....

288kbps max bit rate (AAC at 48kHz) vs LDAC max bit rate (990 kbps) but is still lossy encoding like AAC. LDAC has other benefits too -

"At its maximum potential, it’s the codec with the highest quality. It streams at a max of 990kbps, translating to a sample rate of 96kHz and a bit depth of 24. LDAC swaps between fixed bit rates of 330, 660, and 990 kbps depending on available signal strength. It is also possible to select which bit rate you prefer on some devices. "

I think many will disagree with you about the price.
Couldn’t care less. I’ll buy another pair in a heartbeat on original price if I can buy them. The first pair I have I have to import them, and I love them. And this was before the latest home theater firmware update.

20 cores, 9 microphones, 20 hours battery life, optical sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, apple brand - make the price fair. But charging via lightning connector?!! :(

Isn't it amazing (and wonderful) that Apple has gone back to good old physical controls after leading many in the industry astray down the terrible path of touch control for headphones.

I’m sure for commuting this is great and you’d get your money back in use if you do it each day. Apart from that, I’ll stick to my Beyerdynamic 1990 Pros for home listening.

It's a lot of money, but it's not too expensive when you look at how much really good headphones cost.
And these come with all the connectivity goodies we like from Apple. I'm just not a fan of the design.

While they're not nearly "smart'' as these, I like the design on my MW60 much more:

All leather and aluminium gives them a very, very sturdy and quality feel. The sound is pretty amazing too, just no noise cancelling. The newer MW65 has it, but I like the design a bit less and they reduced the driver size.

Just my two cents.
Wow those are beautiful.

I have to assume there will be a case sold as an accessory that protects the entire thing because the included bra doesn't look protective for some parts.

To those posting about the "ridiculous" price...

Just think about how many millions in profit you could make if you could engineer and mass produce a better product for $399! Hit me up when they're ready!
