Yep , I think that I will see once the system is up and running I will give it a good run to see how it is. Beats 1 will be my main thing here to have as I enjoyed BBC Radio 1 and Zane could be good to have added to this system.

Mainly ... The system looks good and I don't mind not having the free service for the full library.

Quote from http://www.apple.com/music/discover/

Your entire library lives in iCloud when you’re an Apple Music member. First, we identify all the tracks in your personal collection and compare them to the Apple Music library to see if we have copies. If we do, we make them instantly available in iCloud across all your devices. If you have music that’s not in the Apple Music library, we upload those songs from iTunes on your Mac or PC. And because it’s all stored in iCloud, it won’t take up any space on your devices.

Isn't that exactly what iTunes Match does today?

It pains me to even write this as I usually do not have anything negative to say, but that was a bit of a mess. Way too much talking, too many sample songs or videos or "show a video" talk for 10 seconds, "show another video" and the presenters were just not very good today. Also, how hard would it be to get some nice shirts with the Apple logo on them or at least make your own like Drake did, seeing Cue in his pink shirt that's 3 sizes too big and his pot belly just screams sloppy to me. Oh well. I am excited about Watch 2.0, some nice changes and Apple Music should be great as well.

Here's what Apple music is if you pay $10 / month (not sorted in order of importance)
  • View artist feed on Connect
  • Follow artists on Connect
  • Listen to Beats 1 radio station
  • Listen to Apple Music radio stations with unlimited skipping
  • Play and save Connect content
  • Like Connect content or radio songs
  • Enjoy unlimited listening from the Apple Music library
  • Add Apple Music content to your library
  • Save for offline listening
  • Get expert music recommendations

I love what they did with iOS 9 and El Cap, but the Apple Music announcement was incredibly "meh."

I won't be paying for it and I just hope they didn't completely wreck the Music app for those who won't.

The only thing that makes sense is.

If you only care about having your personal, huge library, available to you anywhere without loading your phone with music, pay $25 per year.

If you want to use iTunes like Spotify, pay $120 but Match is included also.
Match is included? Did you see that somewhere?

I sincerely don't hope the new Music app on 8.4 becomes this "I wanna do everything whether you like it or not" app. I have music stored locally with no interest in that whole "Connect" thing or streaming music in general so it would be really nice if Apple gave the option to just hide all those buttons and let the Music app be just the simple thing it is today.

Pricing announced = no thanks. Overpriced, way overpriced in my opinion.

The app appeared during the demo to be arranged by someone with a serious case of ADHD. I guess we'll see if it is easy to navigate and all that when it goes live.

I hear it will have 2 (TWO!) 24/7 streaming radio stations... so that it can be TWICE as good. ;)

If we embrace streaming, we burn more data. More data makes the partners that pay the subsidies for iPhone happier. So the value of streaming is first to the likes of AT&T, Verizon, etc. And once again, I'll point out that Apple innovations since iPhone seem to heavily revolve around data burn which, of course, is exactly what I would want from the innovative minds of Apple if I was AT&T, Verizon, etc and it was my subsidy model that was giving them most of their revenues & profits.

The value for us consumers is apparently centered in 2 things:
-access to any song any time we want it (and have a signal)
-new music discovery of songs we do not already own
If you own little-to-no music, you'll have access to almost all of it for $10/month. If you own lots of music you like, you may struggle with the "why rent vs. own?" dilemma.

The "it" thing is that this is APPLE's version of streaming music.

Why we care is that this is APPLE's version of streaming music.

Do we even care? Of course we do because this is APPLE's version of streaming music.

After about 500 posts of this being the worst WWDC ever and that this music part is a joke, the ADF will establish a platform to start building up the argument that Apple "did it right" while simultaneously inventing reasons why Spotify, Pandora, etc are all increasingly "stupid" especially by heavily zooming in on discrete things that can be done in Apple's app that are not as well done in the competitor's apps as if those are the most important benefits.

The best part of this announcement is probably that everyone can try it for free for 3 months and see if this is an innovation that needs to grow on us. This may be a case of expectations overly sky high meeting reality, so the trial will see if reality is good enough.
You can save content to local device to avoid streaming.

Since you might not have been paying attention, yes, they want you to pay $10 a month for the radio in your car.

You get FM radio, and you even get AM radio. No data connection necessary. You just use the antenna that's part of your car. Here's the one more thing: you get to listen to all the songs and talk shows broadcasted over the airwaves, 24/7!

Just not on demand so you can listen to only the music you want when you want and hopefully without 10 minutes of ads every two songs. Plus you can listen to it anywhere, no car required. Yeah, you stick to your AM/FM car radio.

Yea I wish they would have mentioned iTunes match. Is it still a thing? It must not be included in the $9.99 or they would have said so right??

Very confusing. It does say that iTunes match is still around and "complimentary" to Apple Music. But it also says that Apple Music does a match and upload of your entire library (presumably without the 25000 song limit?). My best guess is that Match is only needed for people who don't get the Apple Music subscription.

That is my mian question! It is still going to take A LOT to pull me awayf rom $4.99 on Pandora.

Split the membership with a friend. You both get a membership, you actually save a penny and you get two other accounts to give to family/friends

How does Apple Music know what songs are in my personal library?

With an Apple Music membership, your entire library lives in iCloud. We compare every track in your collection to the Apple Music library to see if we have a copy. If we do, you can automatically listen to it straight from the cloud. If you have music that’s not in our catalog, we upload those songs from iTunes on your Mac or PC. It’s all in iCloud, so it won’t take up any space on your devices.

Well like I said Beats was crap now as Apple Music even crappier, Tim Cook reminds me of Microsoft CEO.
Ballmer or Nadella because I honestly believe Nadella is really making Microsoft a lot better. He's not some high-end CEO who replaced Ballmer like rumors were suggesting Ford's CEO or something. He was an employee from within who rose up the ranks.

Ballmer on the other hand...
