my iPad Pro is prepaid. my MacBook and phone are annual/monthly. if I tap the macbokk as the first item (then it smartly picks the other 2) it says I will get a refund of 91 dollars.
but, if I tap the iPad (and it auto adds the MacBook and the phone-hence the same three items) it mentions no refund.

so be careful. perhaps it is a bug that will fix itself when the refund happens but I wouldn't take my chances. do some random tapping and see which refund prorate is best
When I click to add my AirPods it doesn’t mention anything about refunding the remaining AppleCare. Of course I didn’t click the add button.

According to the emails after adding my Macs which had the annual AppleCare : looks like it’ll be refunded.

I suspect Apple would refund the money

Is it only allowing us to add products that are already under AppleCare? Asking because I have 10 devices that are less than a year or two old but its only showing 3 eligible devices (all of them have AppleCare+ already) Was only interested if I could add other products that are less than a year old and not covered by AppleCare currently.
Nope. My iPhone and MacBook were already on AppleCare, but my Apple Watch AppleCare had expired. The device has to be less than four years old.

It failed like this for me, too, when I tried to add my iPhone from my iPhone, but I successfully added my iPhone from my Mac.
Nice!

I tried adding my iPhone from my Mac and I'm still getting failure :( - guess I'll try later today.

Same for my Apple Watch Ultra 2 interestingly enough... lol

Odd, it's only showing 3 items for me, and the rest is blank. I have two Mac mini M4s, an Apple Watch Series 10, and a MacBook Pro M1 Pro, none of those even show up as options to choose. Maybe the system needs time still.

I think people are overlooking a big change to AppleCare unless I’m not understanding something.

Under the previous system, there was no extending AppleCare for AirPods. At least it’s never let me extend it past the initial term.

Maybe it will drop AppleCare on that device once it gets to a certain age?

Be careful with that as mine was still showing the annual as being active (in addition to Apple Care One), so I had to cancel the annual.
Ah thanks for that - will keep an eye out for that. I'm hoping everything clears up in a few days, but will be ready to take action if not. Good grief.

Yeah I have a 3 month old iPad (no AppleCare+) that isn’t getting listed, but my 21 month old AirPods Pro’s are listed (I thought the article said they had to be less than a year old), but that might be because they have AppleCare+ right now. I think in my case it is just listing anything with AppleCare+ already on them.

I do have a MacBook Air M1 that I am the second owner to, but it was initially purchased and used in 2022. I was hoping it would let me add this new plan since it has been in use less than 4 years old. Maybe they are still ironing out some things.

In your iPhone go to Settings, AppleCare and Warranty, click Add Device. If you don’t see your device you’re looking for click “Don’t see one of your devices?”. It will show your ineligible devices and list the reason.

I subscribed to AppleCare One today. I was able to add my Apple Watch and Mac, but receive an error with my iPhone 16 Plus and iPad Pro (M4). Chat Support couldn't help me so I set up a call for later in the day. Usually you can get a call pretty quickly; that the soonest slot was many hours from now makes me think a lot of people are having AppleCare issues right now lol.

If they don't let me include my iPhone and iPad, it's a disaster. I'll be paying $10 a month each for my Watch and Mac, which is way more than I was paying before!

My Watch and Mac were already on monthly plans, but my iPhone and iPad are on the two-year plans.

I assume they're just having system problems because there were a lot of people trying to get the service.

All the devices show up but they say "Limited Warranty", not "coverage expired.". From my understanding in the past, if the device didn't have AppleCare+ and is less than a year old, you can take it into an Apple Store and have them look at it and if its in good condition they will add it and get you coverage. I guess I'll have to do that with this AppleCare One thing... just odd because it clearly says it supports devices up to 4 years old.

Thank you for this. And agreed about the iPhone. It’s my third and last device to add to this plan. Without it, it’s not worth it.

So they show up under “Don’t see one of your devices?” in iPhone Settings?

You shouldn’t need to take the device to the store. If it’s too old it will look like in this photo

Has anyone been able to add a device that previously had apple care and is in good condition? I am unable to re-add my iPhone and MacBook pro that had apple care in the past. They are not older than 4 years.

My Studio Display isn’t showing for me which is on an annual plan. My AirPods Pro and Max are not under AppleCare now and older than a year so didn’t expect to see them.

Wonder if there’s a delay with products on an annual plan showing.

I couldn’t get my Apple Studio Display to show either.

I was able to convert my annual MBP 16 (personal) and MBA 13 (work) to this plan. But I can’t add my iPhone (which I paid for the AppleCare upfront for 2 years).

They’re definitely having problems. I was able to add my MBA and MBP (both had annual AppleCare+ plans, but I cannot add my Apple Watch Ultra 2 or my iPhone 15 Pro Max (both had prepaid AppleCare+ 2 year plans)).

I wonder how this will impact the iPhone Upgrade program too. AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss is bundled into my loan with Citizens for that. My guess is it’s excluded from the new One plan, but hoping they change that going forward with the upgrade program.

For mine it says "Ineligible for Plan" instead of "Not Eligible for Plan" and its just blank and shows nothing there listed at all. Only Eligible devices that it shows are 3 products that all currently have AppleCare+ either on a monthly or yearly.

Yeah pretty sure we just need to give it time.
Agreed. That’s the plan here anyway. I’ll try to add my iPhone and watch later today :D. Definitely expected a bit smoother of a process, however, lol. Oh well, I’m sure someone’s getting yelled at. :p
