Apple Announces 'AppleCare One' Subscription Plan for Multiple Devices

My iPhones 2 year purchased upfront expires in September, I really hope I don’t have to wait till then to add the 3rd device lol. Hopefully they fix this soon. It does show the devices as eligible.
I'm not sure which iPhone you're trying to add with, but even if its coverange ends, you have a 4-year window to add anytime before 4-year period arrives. Surely, I hope Apple to fix this error asap. :)

I was able to add an iPhone 15 PM, My 12.9 iPad Pro, which I just bought a few months ago, and my 2021 MacBook Pro M1 that I had bought in 2022. Only my iPad Pro had AppleCare+. Was able to add iPhone and MacBook with no issues.

I have a question.
So, once a devices is removed from this AppleCare One, then some time later, the same device can be added again?

Initially I was getting the "failed" message when trying to sign up my iPhone with a prepaid plan. Eventually I got it signed up on my Mac (and it might have been through Firefox, not via Settings - I forget). Soon thereafter, I got a notice of refund of $154.55. And about an hour after that, I got an Apple Gift Card for that amount.
You mean that you were able to add your iPhone in a web browser? Could you explain more about this? Which site I can log in to manage this AppleCare One??

and scroll down to where it says "AppleCare One
Cover multiple products."

Same here.
1. iPad Pro M4 13" applecare+ 2yr purchased upfront
2. AirPods Pro 2 applecare+ 2yr purchased upfront
Both devices get the same error message when trying to add, even though those are listed as eligible devices.

The airpods pro 2's 2yr applecare+ coverage ends tomorrow. So, I'll be able to add this to the new applecare one by tomorrow, if this is only an error on Apple's sever end. Otherwise, I'll lose the eligibility on this airpods since headphone is given only 1 year of eligibility according to the apple's policy.
I just realized that my primary Apple ID is a mac.com address, but my purchase account is a Gmail address—this mismatch may be what’s causing the error. Anyone can check if this may be the case?

Well, it just worked! seems to be errors that Apple just fixed. (was able to add those in iPhone Setting app.)

Just added all 5 of my devices (15 pro, airpods pro, 16" MBP, ipad mini 7, S10 watch) for a total of 31/month, and I'll be getting partial refunds for all prorated past applecare balances shortly. If that comes as a gift card, it'll go towards new iphone in sep. They really got us locked in LOL

Just discovered something interesting:
As mentioned, I was finally able to add the two devices that had failed before.

When I reviewed the device list, all those marked ineligible now show “Coverage Expired.” Until a few minutes ago, some of them showed different tags, like “Age of this device…”

Even more curious, a couple of my refurbished devices (purchased from Amazon, OWC, and Woot) now display a coverage end date of April 2, 1978—a date they never showed previously.

Has anyone seen this before?

Were you able to add the Woot refurbed device?

Did you get an email that you'd get the partial refund? I had one a pre-paid for but haven't seen a partial refund.

No, since the coverage end dates for those devices are stated as 4/2/1978, I cannot.
One of those devices is Apple Watch S7, which I purchased at Amazon.com as refurbished premium. Apple Watch S7 was released in October 2021, which is definitely within the 4-year window. I'll ask Apple about the eligibility of this watch.

They're changing this as we type !

My Apple Studio Display shows now... It didn't when I tried this maybe 20 mins ago.

Edit: YEP, I was able to add my iPhone after not being able to all day.

It's fixed everyone!
The only device that does not appear on the list is my Studio Disply that I bought in August 2022 at an Apple Store.

same for me. I scheduled a call for tomorrow, but I don’t think it will be covered since it wasn’t bad refurbished from Apple

I was under the impression that all the AppleCare One coverages included Loss and Theft coverage. But, my MBP and the Pro Display XDR that I added both seem to exclude that coverage.

Did I just imagine the L&T coverage being part of it? It's definitely on my watch and iPad Pro.

Edit: Just checked the website again, it says L&T is just for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Too bad it's not available for the MBP too..

Is anyone adding their AirPods Pro? I’m debating if it’s an item to add as my fourth.

To me adding AirPods to this 3-device plan ($6.66/mo) or even as an additional item for ($5.99/mo) seems foolish... You can purchase AppleCare+ 2-year for $29 (effectively $1.21/mo).

Theft & Loss coverage was initially exclusive to the iPhone, but with the new plan, it now includes the Apple Watch and iPad as well.

Thank you for this. And agreed about the iPhone. It’s my third and last device to add to this plan. Without it, it’s not worth it.
Well, I was waiting on the phone for the Apple Support person to come on, and I thought “eh, lemme try one more time”.

Suddenly I was able to add my iPhone and iPad haha Go figure.

I did confirm with the representative that the old plans are cancelled and customers receive prorated refunds for whatever portion of the original AppleCare that is unused.

Have you had any better luck with your devices?
