I'm going to set expectations here, the iPhone 12 will not be ground breaking so if you have an iPhone 10 or later, skip it unless you want 5G. The REAL iPhone upgrade will come with iPhone 13.

What I'm hoping for but probably won't happen are Bluetooth capable Homepods, the new AppleTV, and iPad Pro refresh.

Yeah 5G is not everywhere yet. It won't be until 1 to 3 years from now maybe longer.

I keeping wavering back and forth between Pro 6.1 and 6.7. Currently have an XSMax. I like having a large screen, but I’m also thinking I might like a slightly smaller phone. I guess I’ll have a better feel after the 13th.

Exciting! I wonder if it's wise to upgrade my X to an 11 Pro, since the size of the X is very decent and won't be available once the 12 is released. Also, what if the 5.4 12 is the perfect size .. I'm slightly concerned it would be too tiny ... yet I'm attracted to the idea of an almost edge to edge screen in the palm of my hand with one handed usage possible. Anyone else in the same spot?
No. Nobody else is.

The "Hi" could be referencing Apple Silicon as in paying homage to the 2 Hello's that have gone before (Macintosh & iMac)
That’s an interesting one. I don’t think we’ll have anything related to Apple Silicon next Tuesday, but I get the Hi reference :)

Gaahhhh. Question I wonder is always walked around so closely. It’s driving me nuts. 5G is obvious. If they didn’t role out 5G they’d be really behind. I’ve heard too much about it and other products that will absolutely require it. FYI when your phone says 5GE, that is by no means actual 5G. Actual 5G requires a part that Isn’t in any phones that are currently in use. Not only will it have 5G (which does not at all fit in the 2G, 3G, 4G incrementing system... more like 15G... different internet), that aspect will make all phone currently out pretty worthless. The strength of 5G could facilitate a real-time 360 environment which Apple has suggested their glasses will ‘let you look at whatever you’re looking at and immediately transport to anywhere in the world.’ Are they talking about using maps or Google maps with AR glasses? Doubt it. I think they are talking real-time 360 video. And I think one way to work toward this is treating the filming of 360 video like mining for crypto. The beauty of 360 is you don’t have to watch what’s being filmed or aim. Maybe they are unrolling a 360 camera... which is my only real hope for the 12 and maybe (even less likely) they will encourage sharing 360 video when you’re not using your phone to make money like you do when you mine for crypto... stretch but who know... if it will have a 360 camera built in? Is that suggested? Am I missing that?
They are just adding the Nextel chirp.

Looking forward to new iPhones for sure. As to possibility of new ARM macs, I wonder if the first one will be a new 12" MacBook They discontinued it last year, but I feel like it would be perfect for an ARM chip. The old one was already fan-less and it could be released as an initially cheaper model while giving app developers time to get their big apps reprogrammed for ARM before Apple releases more powerful ARM-based MacBook Pros and iMacs. Regardless, always happy to watch a new Apple event.

Come on so I can upgrade my Iphone X to the 11 Pro Max once 12 comes out and the 11’s price goes down.

Planning to order two unlocked iPhones, a 6.1” 12 for my wife and a 6.1” 12 Pro for myself.

Currently with AT&T (have been since first iPhone) but might move to Verizon at some point, so unlocked seems like the way to go. If anyone knows of a downside to buying unlocked iPhones, please let me know. This will be my first time doing so.

With most TV's including the Apple TV app now, why do you even need a Apple TV box anymore?
I think most people keep their TVs for a long time; me, usually I try to get 10 years out of it. The Apple TV is a means to add value beyond the technology in your aging TV. Plus the Apple TV does a lot more than you get from the app on a TV in my limited experience. I think there is still a market for the box.
