You'd almost think it would cost Apple more than $1 a month to actually manage and bill for that level.
I'd put much more on the cloud if it didn't cost me money - just bothers me. Or give me the 5 per Apple device I own.
Apple is reeeaaaaal experienced at billing $1. All those IAP from the App Store don't process themselves ;)

As we all know, Apple therefore needs 30% to process iCloud's payments.

Yeah, that’s a good question. It doesn’t seem like a full-fledged VPN, but it sure would be nice to ditch ExpressVPN which isn’t nearly as fast as promised!

If you used this service, would it mean that you could no longer have your two factor authentication sites remember your device, meaning you would have to input the 2 factor code all the time on your trusted devices because your true ip address would be hidden?

I hope Hide my eMail gives a better experience than I've had with Sign in With Apple - Half my emails don't get relayed to me by Apple, then there's the occasions when you're speaking with a company's customer service and they ask you to confirm the email address you signed up with, or say than can only respond to emails from your sign-up address.

Sign up With Apple sounded like a great idea, but for me it quickly caused more problems than it solved

I'm a fairly techie guy, and an Apple fan, but wonder how this benefits me? I see a new feature, but not a lot of explanation as to why I need/want/should use it. If this is the best thing at the WWDC, why?

Also, it looks like the Private Relay feature is powered by CloudFlare / CloudFlare Warp :) Nice.

that is really cool - I am currently operating my own mail-server but I am sick of Providers like Microsoft blocking my SMTP IP just for fun. Will depend on how it works in detail though - would be great to integrate with DANE, DMARC, DKIM, SFP etc.

Let's wait and see. :) I wasn't able to find the custom email domain feature in the first beta of iOS 15 yet. Maybe I just didn't see it or it simply hasn't been implemented yet.

In which country will the relay be based ? When I am in Europe, will the relay be in Europe or will it be in USA.

And if it is in USA which regulation does apply ?
