Nothing but empty, meaningless rhetoric.
No, the improvements to Siri and Spotlight alone are fantastic, and the new multi-tasking and keyboard features on the iPad are downright exciting to me. That along with optimization make iOS 9 a great update, particularly since all current iOS 8-compatible devices are still being supported.
Notice how no one has mention how this is a carbon copy of microsoft's windows 8 snap/multitasking.
but if this was the other way around, you ppl will be at an uproar how everything is copying apple.
apple would file patents on edge slide to split view and start suing every one.
notice how Microsoft introduced this in 2011 and filed no patents and isn't suing no one?
I have found lately that it's hard to find a good Apple community that isn't full of negativity. I think that part of it is due to the fact that Apple has become more popular and ubiquitous, and thus the tightknit fan community of the past is being drowned out by casual naysayers. Why anyone would have seriously negative feelings about this WWDC is beyond me; everything looked great and Metal for OSX appears to me to be the fix that a lot of people complaining of "UI lag" were looking for.
Split screen multitasking on the iPad is "meh" now? Some people are just never going to be pleased, I guess. I'm excited about Fall, personally.
I'm not whining. Every time they used it in the past you walked away saying Apple introduced X that can do Y, but I can't tell you what X or Y is this time. They introduced Apple Music, which they already had and it plays radio stations which it already did. People that say its "like Spotify but by Apple" must have missed that this was the Developers Conference, which Spotify is part of.
What exactly did they demo that no one else but Apple could do?
Gotta love the I, I, I and me, me, me, as if you were the only one iOS was designed for. Maybe others enjoy those new functions. Just because they are not for you doesn't mean they shouldn't have been created.i am completely unimpressed. The new iPhone features could have been released in a x.1 update.
The news app is a joke, developers have released similar apps years ago, why is apple now trying to do all the apps themselves?
Other than that there are like 4 new features which I probably won't use.
Most likely it's because of the limited amount of ram, not the power of your iPad Air. Since the iPad Air 2 has 2GB ram split screen perhaps works flawlessly without stuttering. Why is split view only available for iPad Air 2. Surely my iPad Air can handle this...I cannot think of why Apple would do this other than to try and spur new iPad sales. Not really cool to owners of the not so old original iPad Air
It's was meant as a bug fixing refinement, not all singing all dancing refresher.

I know right? And all the money you spent on the WWDC ticket just to watch it and be disappointed. My new idea is next year Apple should make this show for developers. Pity that they don't.For me at least, this was the most uneventful key note that i have experienced. Pretty much brings no excitement at all.
You're absolutely right, I can't argue that, but keep this in mind, most of the "I, I , I's and me, me me's" are nothing more than techies and enthusiasts and as odd as it may seem they/we are in the minority big time. The consumer buying audience is 100x larger and doesn't care about who copied who, what features Android has or Windows has that Apple's system doesn't or if this keynote was too boring to live. These same responses happen every single year after WWDC. Nothing new other than Apple continually getting bigger and richer. They are doing something right.Understand your point but just remember that if all of the I and me people are unhappy enough with Apple, that may affect future purchasing decisions.
The split screen multitasking is an odd one. Apple clearly weren't first, but who was? Windows 8 and Samsung on the Galaxy Tabs. No one could argue that the Windows Store is better than the App Store, and as there's no native split-screen multitasking in Android, the split screen multitasking on Samsung's tablets is very limited.
In fact, if Google introduced split-screen multitasking in Android N, it would still be years away for Android users because of the painfully slow adoption rate of new Android versions.
.....or care about more battery life, or better notes app or better performance, or more security, or.............Does iOS 9 seem empty to you? It really doesn't add any value. Especially if you don't use siri.
Android, who? We have nearly ALL of their features now! BOOM!
You overlook "nearly. "Lol. I didn't say all.Where's Tasker?
He's one of the same people who complains when iOS 7 doesn't look like iOS 6 and iOS 8 isn't stabile enough. Not worth your time.Gotta love the I, I, I and me, me, me, as if you were the only one iOS was designed for. Maybe others enjoy those new functions. Just because they are not for you doesn't mean they shouldn't have been created.
IMO it is an excellent decision. It may not be popular, but it is the right thing to do.Most likely it's because of the limited amount of ram, not the power of your iPad Air. Since the iPad Air 2 has 2GB ram split screen perhaps works flawlessly without stuttering.
Implement split-screen multitasking that already works with thousands of apps.
There is no native split-screen multitasking on iPad so you either get an add on - like Samsung implements - with limited compatibility - or you go to Windows and lose a lot of key apps.
If Android introduced native split-screen multitasking, it wouldn't have the reach iOS 9 has, because of how slowly new Android versions are adopted.
