Apple Announces iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max With Triple-Lens Rear Camera and Midnight Green Color

I read the first few pages of comments and really didn't find substantial answers, so I figured I'd save my time and ask a direct question rather than wade through complaints about the color of the phone, naming schemes, or candor of the presenters. Thank you for your input though!

What I found interesting about the announcement was more how they changed what they talked about, focusing on some key features and less about the details that they used to. Sure, they did a quick dive into the A13 chip, but even that seemed rushed.
Someone must have suggested, now that Ive is effectively gone, that they needed to put more emphasis on the customer's use of the devices, less on how they designed and produced the product.
Of course, as others are noting, it was definitely a more iterative change than a wholesale re-invention, but that's where we're at, at this point in tech.

You're spot on. Considering which hardware features people use most, it should be called a smartcamera, not a smartphone.
So last year Apple Upgrade allowed you to prepare in advance, get your order ready, get all needed credit checks out of the way, etc. This year I don't see that as an option - anyone know if that will be possible before the new ordering timeline?
was expecting the price to go way down! just that. but they don't understand and they will sell less than that year. apple products can't be luxury products. remember what happened to the gold apple watch. i guess they will never learn...

Yeah - my first thought when I saw the names was how tired and overused the "pro" designation has become with Apple products - Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, and now iPhone Pro. The most standout feature of all the "pro's" is the guaranteed high price tag.
I'm sure the cameras take nice photos and all, but if you're going to spend that much money perhaps just get a nice mid-range (or better) digital camera and buy a mid-range phone. I've still got at least another year or so on my 6S+, and hope that Apple will come out with a nice sub - $900 model by that time.

I was somewhat optimistic that the prices had come down possibly, but the FX for Canada is harsh these days. No way I'm spending close to $1600 PLUS tax... so ~$1800 CAD for a 256GB 11Pro 5.8". ~$1300 CAD after tax for a 11 with 128GB.
Not really, the leaks at the start were far worse...with the coating it blends in quite well.
That said how often will you look at the back of your phone?
Why are some people delusional? if it is not good then it is not good, you cannot force majority of the people to say it is WOW or Revolutionary if it isn't
Look at companies like Oppo or One plus, they are coming out with some amazing phones with half the price with similar or better features. Many of them don't even have a notch, they are the ones who are revolutionary at the moment and not Apple. Many in India, China and other parts of Asia are making the switch because they are getting a much better phone at 50% less the price.
Galaxy S10 also looks so amazing.
It took Apple 1 year to come out with this piece of crap? if other companies can come out with such amazing products then why not apple? if they keep on taking us for granted it won't be long they would have the same fate as Nokia.
Sadly I don't like android and I am used to IOS, if those phones had IOS then I would have made the switch immediately cause the reality is that Apple is coming up with very bad products.

They are not coming out with bad products then just take their time bringing out features til it’s matured enough to meet their expections.
If the camera is that great and night mode is better than the comp then they did right by waiting it out...
IOS is the big draw here and is the plus point for me no matter what the comp offers.
