Why are some people delusional? if it is not good then it is not good, you cannot force majority of the people to say it is WOW or Revolutionary if it isn't

Look at companies like Oppo or One plus, they are coming out with some amazing phones with half the price with similar or better features. Many of them don't even have a notch, they are the ones who are revolutionary at the moment and not Apple. Many in India, China and other parts of Asia are making the switch because they are getting a much better phone at 50% less the price.

Galaxy S10 also looks so amazing.

It took Apple 1 year to come out with this piece of crap? if other companies can come out with such amazing products then why not apple? if they keep on taking us for granted it won't be long they would have the same fate as Nokia.

Sadly I don't like android and I am used to IOS, if those phones had IOS then I would have made the switch immediately cause the reality is that Apple is coming up with very bad products.
You're seeing the fluff. Those cheaper phones use cheaper components. And are slower and their thumbprint or face sensor aren't as secure. When you really dig in to it you find the cheap phones are cheap for a reason.
I'd rather they take their time and do something right and well rather than rush out a half baked feature.
Next years iphone was always going to be the bigger upgrade.

We have seriously lost sight of the origin of the word “pro”. It used to mean “professional”, but now it means “more features at a higher price point, but has nothing to do with anything professional”.

Please? Are there really professional phone users?
Does no one use their iPhone for work?

64Gb base? Really?

I’m thinking about running to Android
Apple Predictor: This fall a truly revolutionary MacBook Pro Pro 16"...with the latest (14nm ++) Intel Comet Lake (sorry boys and girls but Asus and Acer bought all stock of 10nm Intel Ice Lake) 9-core overheating CPU, insane 128GB SSD capacity and IPS LCD panel starting just at only $2999 ;) Of course eco friendly however we do not provide any info about level of recycling / recycled materials / parts (10%, 50%, 90% ???) and where so better assume that your iPhone end in Africa as a sold waste.

Going to be buying 4 new iPhones this year. 11’s for the kids to replace their Xr and Pros for my wife and I to replace our XS Max.

They are not coming out with bad products then just take their time bringing out features til it’s matured enough to meet their expections.

If the camera is that great and night mode is better than the comp then they did right by waiting it out...

IOS is the big draw here and is the plus point for me no matter what the comp offers.

Love this old chestnut.

Did it take this long for > 5w power brick to 'mature'?

Are you blind? The X and XS look 100% the same, whereas, the iPhone 11 has a completely different camera module, also the iPhone naming has been removed and the logo has been centered.

Oooohhh they changed the name broo ha ha so innovative!

So last year Apple Upgrade allowed you to prepare in advance, get your order ready, get all needed credit checks out of the way, etc. This year I don't see that as an option - anyone know if that will be possible before the new ordering timeline?
I am also on program and looking for same. I seem to remember the next day we got notice of some such options and I prequalified so all I had to do was hit complete order in apple store app on my iphone. Hoping they do same but cannot find anything so far

Why do you need it? I watched about 80% of this keynote steaming to my XR whilst walking the dog, ALL over 3G with the signal at 1 or 2 bars!!
What is 5G going to do for your phone? Apart from possibly cause you harm.
At this juncture it will mainly raise the price of the phone and cause your carrier bill to go way up (assuming you have coverage - good luck with that). My guess is that the ultimate goal of 5G is to offer an alternative to cable or fibre ISP broadband, but until pricing and coverage improve quite a lot that remains a few years in the future as a practicality.

You won’t be missing anything except 2x zoom. XR rocks so 11 will rock too.

Very happy to read that. I hope you're right. Silly thing is that it's the camera that draws me most--I've welcomed a new baby the last year, and it's silly the amount of photos we take. I want them to be the best they can be, so any camera bump (teehee) is a good thing. :)

It's the camera that clinched it for me, too (along with the smaller form factor, going from a plus sized to the 5.8 Pro).

We travel a lot, and the phone have - increasingly - been our main (and often only) travelling cameras. And we take a lot of pictures, too. (Too many, to be honest.) :)

Oh, and the bump (nice pun), "vanishes" into the case, anyway (I'm not going "naked".)

This thread reminds me why I barely ever read the forums on this site anymore.

Complain, complain, complain.

Every. Single. Year.

Why are you even here?

Just move on if you’re that upset.
That folks are displeased enough to post indicates they are at least still interested in whatever Apple does, good or bad. When no one bothers to complain any more, watch out - likely means they've given up on Apple and, indeed, no longer care. A forum, at least for me, requires a balance in commentary - both good and bad - to be worth the time to read or post.

No USB-C, no improved FaceID. Just a new lens. It's probably not worth the upgrade from XS Max.

It's never worth the upgrade a year after you bought the last one... Start comparing it to the phones 3-4 years old and then you have reasons to upgrade. Phones have reached a point now where there is nothing but iteration to do for the most part. People need to start tempering their expectations accordingly. There aren't going to be sweeping feature changes any longer, or at the very least they will be few and far between.
