Curious who approved the font for that ”PRO” text. Looked like something I would have chosen when I was 12.
This. For how much Apple supposedly cares about design, that font doesn't match ANYTHING Apple has done recently, clearly falls outside their own style guide, and it looks terrible.

I was hoping there would be some new camera software tricks. I see Pixel can choose faces from multiple photos, add the person taking the photo into the photo and I think Apple is losing on the camera software side. Held the latest Pixel and actually felt like a real phone. I will probably get this orange phone since my works covers it but if apple can't even catch up to basic camera phone features for years I can't keep not having features that are huge for lifestyle with a family using the camera phone so much.

Interesting. Looks like they're splitting the usual pro crowd between feature chasers and those after lifestyle/looks... No Black Pro is a massive statement. For sleek, go buy Air or base. Base iPhone 17 and the Air both have bezels as thin as Pro and 120Hz. Very different marketing strategy this year. For my money I'd get the 17 hands down.

No 8K Video— big miss. Bet you they’ll release that next year with the 2nm chip upgrade. But please upgrade everyone since I’m a shareholder.
Who can even watch 8K video? Thats a legit real pro feature. Not iPhone Pro...but media production pro feature.

Shocked they aren’t offering a black or dark grey version, lol. I’ve never owned a black iPhone since the 4 series, but I know a lot of people like that colorway

Thanks to the shortsightedness of Tim Cook and the other Apple leadership, they decided to only release the rather unnecessary but technologically marvelous? iPhone 17 Air. Was there an iPhone 1 through 16 Air?

Anyway, on to year 6 of the iPhone 12 since the 17 is the 6th iteration of the 12. My iPhone 14 Pro Max is essentially the same phone as the 15, 16, and now 17 Pro Max. So no real reason to upgrade.

Apparently Apple was only capable of making the 17 Air and couldn’t potentially hurt sales of that or handle additional development by releasing anything else worthy of forking the road.
It’s not called the iPhone 17 air. It’s only called the iPhone air. The marketing team thought there might be people like you so they made sure they didn’t call it that.

I might be being picky, but seriously...the phone I really wanted this year and NO Black, Dark Graphite color?? IDK, Deep Blue is ok, but I guess I'd go with the Silver.

That would be my first Silver iPhone since the original 2007.
