So you have to use the MagSafe Battery to have the same battery performance as a Pro Model.
That doesn't seem unreasonable - the target for the Air is for people for whom battery life is not the key. I cannot imagine streaming 22 hours of video with no access to power - even on a flight from Oz-UK I would have power
Who is this for?
Me. I take snaps not photos so I don't need the best camera system - and even the system they have for front facing will make video calls better.

I either sit at my desk (home or office), sit in my car or walk around - whilst seated I have power if I need it. Whilst walking I don't walk for 22 hours straight watching videos. This is perfect for me.

The iPhone Air camera bump is absolutely wild from the side. It's almost double the thickness, lol.
It's slightly more than double the thickness:

No stereo speaker is disappointing. :(
Genuine question - when do you use a stereo speaker? I only listen to my phone via AirPods or a bluetooth speaker/homepod.

The Air looks very pretty, definitely the best looking iPhone since the X, but 200 bucks more than the regular 17 is bad value sadly.
I think if the difference was closer to 100 it would cannibalize 17 sales considering it has a bigger screen and a pro chip.

It's for my wife for sure. She has a 14PM and definitely doesn't use it to its full capabilities. She likes the bigger screen but finds it a bit heavy and bulky. Has trouble fitting it in dressier small purses and clutches....Barely takes pictures (always leaves the picture taking to me)
Its perfect for her and I'm sure millions others in a similar situation.... this might be their best seller this cycle... and not just because it's the new shiny toy.

Looks a very good package but why do they keep making phones bigger? It's the only thing I dislike about it (porbably the price will not be nice either).
Larger phones have better battery life, so a smaller Air would have even worse battery life.

Seems that the iPhone Air is the new Pro Model. And the Pro Models are something similar like the Watch Ultra. A rugged design with features that nobody uses.

Looks dumb as heck. Who would want this. Too thin. Would bend or break. And in a case then what’s the point. Stupid.

No mention on the product page of FaceID nor TouchID. Assuming there is at least TouchID. Specs page not posted yet. Hoping for FaceID on next gen.

Edit: Face ID confirmed on the compare page. Tempting now that this is the only model with premium finishes.
