Is this the first time Apple didn’t have any live demo models to display during the keynote presentation?

The stock photos and promotional videos are all nice, but I’d like to judge what these devices look like in real time.
What would they demo? Last year's features or rehash the WWDC iOS 12 introduction?

I mean sure, that's basically the keynote itself, but I guess it's all just an excuse to properly announce Liam has a sibling now.

I can’t believe they chose ‘Max’ for an iPhone title, seemingly it’s not a big deal, but it just doesn’t seem fitting. But I do like the gold stainless color addition.
Don't worry. In a few months, every other phone maker will have a "Max" model too. We'll all get used to it.

So the only differences between the Xs and Xs Max are:

  • Price
  • Screen Size
  • Battery Life

No other feature differentiation, correct?

Same here!

Same here. What a BORING presentation. Like the new watch. That is is on xMas list. May look at XsMax. If not, will keep 8Plus. Still nice phones but could have cut presentations in half.

Loved Lisa on environmental impact. She is awesome.

1249€ in Germany for the XS Max... That is 64GB (how they even dare to put that in the highest-end flagship in 2018 I don't know, that is even by their standards pretty greedy)

1649€ if you like 512GB of storage...

Yupp, Note 9 and dual rocking it with my 6S Plus it is. Sweet Jesus... I cannot find dope that good to sugar coat those prices.

Guess I shouldn't have sold my iPhone X 256GB. I guess I'll be forking over $1249 for the Xs Max 256GB. I'd like a 512GB, but not at $1449. Especially since I'll keep it for 2 years before upgrading unlike my MacBook Pro that I expect 6 or so years of use.

ouch, those prices. I can't get one even if i wanted to get one. Not at $1449+tax. This is like more than an apple laptop - that can do much more. At this rate we will see a $1500 starting price and up to $2000+ for high memory iPHone models in the near future.

Does this include free headphones? How about faster wall charger? USB-C? screen glass protectors? free case? What about apple stickers? fk me, I'm trying to justify paying these insane prices!

iPhone XS Max 512GB, plus AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss, plus tax = $1,922......Let that sink in
At those prices you can get a pretty decent laptop, PC OR Mac even and get a Note 9 on sale 2-3 months after it's been out.

Just to give you a mental guide on whether this pricing is in any way reasonable.

Oh and a Note 9 can be configured to 1TB of storage. Yes, one half will be a little less speedy microSDXC storage, but for media, which is what really pushes those hundreds of GB that is PLENTY fast enough.
