I'm really hoping for both of those things!! Both (but especially MagSafe) kind of make me want to continue holding onto my 2015 MacBook Pro in hopes that they'll eventually come back.If they release any new MacBooks, the event graphic has me wondering if the glowing Apple logo will return.
Hopefully the real MagSafe makes a comeback, too.
More importantly, is your wallet ready? My body is ready.
They’d sell less Macs. I don’t think they’d want that.It would be interesting if Apple introduced a phone with Apple Silicon, including more RAM, that could function as a Mac. Connect it wirelessly to a monitor/TV (via a dongle as they generally don't have wireless connectivity), keyboard, and mouse/trackpad for a very flexible device.
The performance could be there of a reasonable computer for many. And as an extension of the idea, take away the screen and battery for a tiny Mac Nano.
I’ll agree with the first part of your ask - a new iPad Pro w/A14X, but don’t really need Big Sur to run on it. I’ll get a new AS MacBook Pro or iMac for that.I want to see a new iPad Pro with A14X and the ability to run Big Sur. Not gonna happen, I know.
I would buy it just for this!! No kidding!Preach on!!! Hate that thing...

Nintendo just announced a couple games last week that use the “one download per app” model (two Ubisoft games) that Apple’s OK with. While a web app might be a way to go, there’s nothing preventing them from just making the apps available separately at this point.Too much coincidence / synergy with the Microsoft Nov 10th Xbox event to NOT include that as ALSO having some Play in what will be announced !
See the Xbox article & thread here on MR from just a-little while ago !
Sony PS announcement on Nov 12th, as well !
Noooo, you see, micro LED’s facing outward onlyI for one hope it never returns—facing a bright window, light can shine through the logo and project through the display. Infuriatingly annoying.
Unfortunately, not likely ALL questions, but a good chunk for sure.I cannot wait to see this! All ARM questions will finally be answered.
Well, seeing as how the HDR abilities in the iPhone are provided by the processor AND that processor will be in the Apple Silicon Mac, then you could very well see a 13 inch that has HDR and can edit multiple streams of 4k simultaneously.LOvetodream just leaked it’s only the 13 inch getting released. So disappointing if there’s no redesign. Given how Apple are leaning into Dolby Vision on the iPhone, any new Mac that doesn’t have hdr is dead on arrival to me.
This is interesting to me as, depending on how it lines up, it could be similar to something I was predicting... performance, battery life and other features between the two would be the same and the primary difference would be the number of ports and/or expansion options available. This is how Apple does things with their iPads, was thinking this might carry over to their Apple Silicon Macs."13 inch X 2" - l0vetodream
Probably just a 13" MBA and 13" MBP :/
This is not how Apple thinks in my opinion. They have built up the iPad to be a very strong MacBook competitor at the low end for example. The iPad Air plus keyboard is a very capable and comparably cheap MacBook alternative for a lot of people. The iPad Pro directly competes with the MacBook Air. Apple also didn't have any second thoughts about "killing" the iPod by integrating a better version of it into the iPhone. They’d sell less Macs. I don’t think they’d want that.
