WOW!! This is the best product announcement (IMO) since the original Apple Watch. These look sharp and have great features. Different color options are great as well.

Just bought my wife the new Airpods and took her 1st gen ones (which the mic no longer works). May seriously consider these now.

Should have been USB-C.

I would be ok with either Lighting or USB-C. Lightning is a smaller connector, and is better for most existing iPhone and iPad customers, USB-C is probably a bit easier for some non-apple customers.

Have to say these look a bit rubbish and way overpriced, plenty of far better sounding wireless headphones at that price level!
Compared to my Now first gen AirPods I have to wonder if they sound any better and are overly bass heavy?

But it’s all personal taste I guess, still a ridiculous price.

I wonder could I use Comply earphone tips on these instead of the included tips? That would be perfect

I've tried a ton of workout headphones, from powerbeats 3, to jaybirds, to cheap amazon ones. The amazon headphones have worked great for durability and sweat resistance, the powerbeats sounded best but could not withstand my level of sweat (had multiple replacements so I just stopped using them when warranty period was over), and the jaybirds were kind of a let down. I'll give these a try as I would love to have truly wireless headphones for running. I hate having wires now that i have airpods as my go-to headphones when not working out. I hope that they've improved the sweat resistance.

Again, please show me which $5 Target earbuds that sounds better than Beats. It may not be the best sounding headphones but it does sounds pretty good. Most everyone that kept dissing the Beats probably never even own one and just following all the herds online that said so.

Nope. My BeatsX are in a drawer. Ironically I didn't like how they fit in my ear, and the wire felt clumsy. I wasn't all that keen on the sound either. I do like my AirPods for convenience and the sound quality is fine for me. I don't have a problem with people that like them, or don't like them (the beats or the Airpods). Choice is great.

Nothing. The Airpods are priced extremely competitively. Their best competitor, Jabra Elites are $165. Samsung Galaxy Buds are $165. Sony's WF series starts at $178. Bose Soundsports are $199. And the Jabra Sport is $199.

And then when you get to the top end of the market, B&O's are $350. And Sennheiser Momentums are $299. So no, the Airpods are not even close to being a tough sell.

Galaxy Buds are $129

The AirPods when they first came out were not a hard sell as they were the only game in town and a new, novelty idea by apple with a truly wireless listening option. However, now, after people have been using the gen 1 and seen firsthand the negatives with them after use, see what the competitors have brought to the market, and seeing now little has been changed in the gen 2 while retaining a higher price point then the original gen 1 (yes u get the wireless charging case but have to pay more; if u didn’t want to pay more and didn’t want the wireless charging case there is virtually no reason to upgrade EXCEPT for your gen 1 battery life now being terrible and forcing the upgrade), the new AirPods and the BPro Buds will both be a hard sell for Apple at those price points.

Apparently $175 for a “1.5 year RENTAL” is a good deal to you.... I purchased the AirPods new for my wife and I both and we are lucky to get 2 hours of listening on a full charge now; that’s a ridiculous price point for a product that does not have any part replacement options for battery issues if they are gonna be that bad after such a short time. The AirPods are not “extremely competitively priced;” they are the most convenient, being completely wirefree, and offer unique integration within the Apple ecosystem due to iOS that u cannot get with the other brands. That’s why u pay for the AirPods, not because they have the best sound, battery life, features, or even fitment. The integrated user experience is what u pay for and expect from Apple. What I did not expect at that price from Apple was a device with a non replaceable battery that lost over HALF of its usage rate in a dramatically short time period as NONE of my other, less expensive, buds have done anything similar since their usage began.

I was being facetious when I stated “what do I know” as I know more then I probably should about headphones lol but I guess I forgot to add the /s.

I have many different sets of headphones from AirPod type (wireless buds) to wired (together) wireless buds to wired buds to cans to on-ear, over ear, and everything in the middle; as well as no name brands to Senn, B&O, Master & Dynamic, Sony, BOSE, Apple, Beats, Jabra, all the way to Grado. People will pay for convenience, features, reliability, and acceptable use for their products and devices. I have $85 cans that sound great, buds that haven’t lost ANY wireless battery at all, wireless cans that get 25-40 hours before charging, etc. Apple is simply not being competitive with products in pricing or feature set in this market segment any longer and this is evident by the volume of people keeping their old AirPods (gen 1) till they die and NOT upgrading, and choosing other products in this price range that are more in line with feature, prices, and consumer products expectations.

Didn’t mean to write a novel here lol, but if you think $250 for the BPro Buds is a good deal and u like them that’s great; and if u think the AirPods are competitively priced and like them then get a set and enjoy them too. If not, that’s great too. Variety gives us freedom to choose what we individually perceive is an acceptable trade off in price versus performance.

Have a great day

I’ve been testing these for the past 5 weeks and sound quality and overall fit are horrendous. These PB Pro’s lack bass and also lack mids. But on the plus side I managed to get 115 feet away from my XS Max before the signal started getting choppy. Lastly, the battery is well...average and definitely not what’s being touted. I’m sending them back tomorrow. Thank God.
Please tell us the method in which you were blessed to be a tester

I’m usually not one to complain about price but $329.95 (CDN, plus tax) for these is insane. There’s no reason beyond pure greed that they should cost that much when other true wireless options are $100 or so less.

Then why not buy those?

So you've already tried a pair and know how they sound? Please do tell....

Damn, so like $300+ total for Canadians, eh?

I love my Powerbeats, but the cord is a nuisance to me, it slightly pulls my earpiece whenever I turn my head side to side and gets tugged by my shirt when I workout, because of this is breaks the seal in my ears making the bass sound bad, and it just feels loose overall.

Would love to own one of these.

I still have my Apple Store gift card for AirPower... so... I guess I’ll be buying one.

From their website:
Each earbud has up to 9 hours of listening time so you can keep your music going. With the charging case, you’ll get more than 24 hours of combined playback.

Thanks. The article has been updated as initially it didn’t specify.

I can accept that they are better than similar bluetooth headphones that cost 1/10th, but are they 10x better?
