it has some features that have been in Chrome, like Top sites, which I liked using on chrome and the tabs on top is a chrome thing too.. hmm oh well I like chrome on windows so this is a good thing!! =D d/l now

I think that's a Gmail issue, not Safari, because I'm looking at my email right now.

It's an issue with Safari 4. I can get in with firefox. It kinda sucks because I am liking Safari 4.

Removed Safari 3

Okay, so I rename Safari.app to Safari 3.app ... and the installer replaces Safari 3.app with Safari 4 Beta.

If you want to keep Safari 3, better rename it AND move it somewhere else, AND make a copy while you're at it!

If anyone manages to have the two versions at the same time, please tell me!

I opened the same tabs in both Firefox and Safari - and for once Safari uses less resources! Unbelievable! Good work Apple.

Gawd, the dreaded rainbow beach ball and my Mac sounding like it's busting it butt to move from one page to the next. I going from page 4 member's list to page 11 member's list and it's taking 4.55 seconds which is much slower than ADC Safari 4.0 Beta (5528.1)...

It's not a plugin, it's an InputManager hack and is unsupported - that's why it's broken. It's 1Password's fault, not Apple's, so it's up to them to get it working again.

It might not be. GMail was having intermittent problems.

Agreed, the loading bar was very helpful. So far so good with Safari 4... I'm getting a bit of beachballing, but when it's running, it's pretty fast.

Gmail itself. Just typed gmail.com and it loads no problem.
