Diversity is diversity. Can’t pick and choose who you allow.
Diversity in app store is good. Apple shouldn't block apps based on ideology (nor have they in the past).

However, a social network that caters to and provide an echo chamber of a single ideology is not diversity.

I did vote, just not for them. There are more than 2 people on a ballot, which if more people realized maybe we could dig our way out of this two party system.

Trump wouldn't have been as bad if he could have learned to keep his mouth shut and stay off of twitter. But his ego kept falling for the media's baiting. It's hardly the media's fault he made himself such an easy target. Every other president before and now after has handled it better.
The media had a huge impact on getting Trump out of office, they even admit it now that he's out of office... along with Big Tech censorship and the battleground states changing their elections laws unconstitutionally. Now we're stuck with a president controlled by left wing radicals playing the race card every chance he gets. No unity there.

Rich kids don't fight wars, unless they're an officer. Hell, middle class kids don't fight wars... it's old, rich men sending young, poor men to die. My dad held two degrees and was at MIT during Vietnam, when I registered for the draft as is required for all 18 year old males (this being 2002), he tells me "very noble, but just so you know, you're on the first plane out if they ever do that again, no son of mine is dying for a bunch of hawkish republicans who never saw their best friends killed."
It's also lots and lots and lost of people that volunteer. We have the largest all volunteer military in the world. We have not had a draft since the Vietnam war and we have been in conflicts since and not needed a draft.

It's impossible to point to similar situations because... no one but republican terrorists stormed a federal building looking for elected officials. Hell, look at what happened in Michigan when they tried to force the opening of the state? You think darker skinned people, given the history of bias and use of force within police forces, would have been treated with open doors had they attempted the same thing? If they were wearing muslim clothing, you think they would have been treated the same way? You can honestly say you believe that?
I gave you an example, but you just want to project.

I just find it utterly disgusting to constantly divide people into racial groups.

Please show me the history of bias and use of force within police forces. Provide facts and statistics.

Do they (I am assuming you mean Parler) discriminate against any ideologies? Can you demonstrate it?
Because there are countless examples of social networks catering to certain ideologies.

Was the election stolen or were there any gross abnormalities? The answer you give will determine if I continue this conversation.

My answer to any question shouldn't determine whether or not you continue a conversation. You either want to defend your position or you don't.

As for the election, if you're asking if I think that Venezuelan Communists hacked the computers or that trucks dumped tens of thousands of ballots, no, I don't believe any of that.

Do you think that Eric Swalwell, after having slept with and been funded by a Chinese Spy should be on the intel committee? Do you think that when Maxine Waters told people a few nights ago to get "more confrontational", that she was inciting insurrection, remembering that the definition of insurrection is "The act or an instance of open revolt against civil authority or a constituted government.", and in this case, the civil authority is the police?

So do you believe Speaker Pelosi should be kicked off twitter, etc. for spreading this dangerous lie?

Thanks for absolutely skirting the question and doing the classic republican whataboutism and deflecting and projection.

And she was an idiot for that comment. See how easy that is? But we can divulge into what she is actually talking about. I'm sure you don't know, but she was talking about how russian operatives were able to influence the election, and you had republicans parroting the same, hand fed talking points. That's what she is talking about.

She's not talking about actual, 'Er mer ger vensooolwaylah herked er errections wif der herp erv soros!'

That must have been a scary situation for paul's wife. Nothing happened to them, but nice use of 'What could have happened,' as a way to show that somehow people yelling at someone is the same as storming the Capitol and looking for congress members.

Thanks for absolutely skirting the question. Should the Speaker be banned from Twitter for life for spreading dangerous lies? Folks on the right are canceled by social media giants for far less than those on the left.

PS - Thank you for admitting she was an idiot, that is easy. I think anyone who stormed (by actually entering) the Capitol is as much of an idiot as the Speaker and those burning down and looting their own cities in "protest".

Oh right, only Nancy deserves context and translation. Thank you for clarifying. You gave techno96 an ultimatum for whether or not you would continue a conversation with him... no irony there in a thread discussing people's ability to have conversations on a platform.

Heaven forbid anyone question the unconstitutional changes to election laws. Noooooo, can't have that conversation, that's insurrectionist talk!!
2016 election = stolen (as in let PlainviewUVGF translate what stolen really means)
2020 election = squeaky clean and impeccable - any other words constitute sedition and you must be banished from public discourse

My point was that ZERO people died as a result of this ambush. See how that was handled? (remember: "...can you imagine if...")

"Nothing happened" to the congress members as noted by their continuation of the proceedings just hours later.

Mixed feelings. We shouldn’t allow fringe ideologies to find bubbles where they can reinforce each others’ false beliefs, but I’m also glad maybe they’ll keep the crazy off Twitter and FB.

Might big assumption there - the left wing echo chambers have plenty of misinformation and lies. The left when confronted with facts they don't like scream hate speech and ban.

In the left wing totalitarian universe there is only one point of view allowed --- "theirs".

Funny how you told me I was deflecting by not answering the question at all.

I told you what I think, and I addressed the claims of election fraud specifically, instead of generally, I didn't deflect. Here you are using an example I said I don't believe as a mocking point.

Please defend Eric Swalwell not getting kicked off intel.

Contrast that with the 33 people murdered in cold blood by ANTIFA terrorists and the $2 billion in property destroyed including a federal courthouse with federal agents inside.

What unconstitutional changes to election laws?

Heaven forbid we actually allow any and all Americans to vote.

You let nut jobs say whatever they desire, which can and has caused others physical harm, and it's surprisingly impossible to run a profitable business.

Who are the "nutjobs" - Most left wing apps let the left wing terrorists make threats and celebrate violence unabated. Not to mention Twitters defense of child porn on its platform. Yet you question some democrat policy - that is "hate and you are banned.

You need to check your privilege and your arrogance.

Further, I think you would be extremely hard pressed to find any elected official that condones what happened Jan 6th. Can we say the same for the violent riots going on for the past year? Like others have stated, how about Maxine Waters? How about the current Vice President?

This is hilarious. Parler will last about 15 minutes before it's removed again. A platform dedicated to the right wing echo chamber cannot be moderated as it would require removal of a majority of the content at any given moment.
And what about left-wing echo chambers like Twitter? They are just as bad at spewing vile nonsense as Parler. The only difference is that everyone turns a blind eye to it.

Anything that disagrees with the centrally approved narrative is considered "extreme" -can't have any that free thinking and alternative opinions floating around in the either. Unless there is an outright call for violence, porn, or illegal acts - there should be no power for platforms like Apple to ban apps like Parler or anything else.

Apple - like Facebook and Twitter, and Youtube are taking on shades of totalitarianism.
