Thanks for the post about using Safari to see the SE phones and to Add it to Bag! I was able to order one around 11pm ET. I had to refresh a few times, as they do seem to be going in and out. Keep trying and good luck!

You’d need one that works on VZW’s network, which IIRC is still CDMA.
The unlocked phones work on Verizon. For the record, Verizon is shutting down its CDMA network at the end of the year. They are mostly LTE now, in advance of the 5G rollout. The new iPads Pro don’t support CDMA anymore, for example.

I realize this is cheap for Apple, but after so many years, I wish it was cheaper. Son has had one since s few months after launch. Great phone. Just had the. Street replaced.

missed the boat on a 128gb space grey :( i've been hounding ebay and swappa for new and well-kept used examples but come up short. hopefully more get released.

I’m sorry. This is “swine before pearls” if you get my meaning? Apple offer a new low priced phone instead of digging up an older phone. Heck. Make it a flip phone

If Apple does come out with a SE2, it will have similar design language as the new iPad Pro 11”. Notice that this new iPad took the design language of the 4, 5, and SE? Personally, I think a SE2 that looked like the iPad Pro 11” would look and feel fantastic.

This was the best size phone. A full screen (with same overall size of a iPhone SE) with in-screen fingerprint sensor and WITHOUT that ugly notch will be the best iPhone ever. I don't mind little thicker phone to accommodate the bigger battery for full screen. IMHO will be a best seller for Apple.
Sadly, the manufacturers don't see it that way.
And I wish we have more say as consumers.

No business in India? And elsewhere?

Apple's biggest sellers in India are iPhone 6s and SE - same phone different shells/sizes. Price - 6S $400, SE $240. The X-series, dead at $1200+! Average smartphone price in India is $155!

Other smartphones and feature phones offer way more than Apple - price, dual-sim, ads to promote, carrier subsidy. The top-selling feature phone is $25! Feature phone users are not crossing over to smartphones anytime soon - they literally talk on their phones, and nothing else!

Real numbers and percentage of iPhones sold in India are still in the lowest rung - and all cellphone makers manufacture/assemble them in India - including Apple.

I am curious about the actual numbers of today's iPhone SE sales!

Apple sold 150 million 4" screen iPhones in the USA in 2013 - all of them iPhone 5S. Surely, all of them did not sink in the phablet sea!

The most iPhones sold in the USA are ~217 million.

So, severe short-sight by Apple! The customer base (therefore the service revenue potential) is huge at the lower end of the pyramid.

Does that mean we have to accept the bitter fact that the TouchID is gone forever! Then why is it present in the MBP-TB?

I wonder how many were actual customers versus resellers?

I bet they start showing up on eBay and Amazon shortly at higher prices ...

Oh you adorable optimist:confused:!

iPhone SE was selling at about 100's on eBay and less at the exchange sites. Buying them in the 200's and trying to resell them - well that is worse than buying AAPL at $233 and hoping to sell them before the next cycle of iPhones!

Yeah, but how trustworthy are those listings really, though?

To clarify, these resellers buy the surprise Apple clearance at $240-299+ tax, and then sell them for a profit! Where? These sellers, before this event today, were pricing them at mid to high $100's.

Maybe they plan to hold them on for decades and sell them as collectibles?

Back in July I actually bought an iPhone SE, brand new, from AT&T prepaid for just $50! o_O:confused::eek:

The only condition was that you needed to buy it with 1-month of AT&T prepaid service ($40 for unlim talk / txt / 8gb of LTE data).

I ended up keeping AT&T prepaid for the last 6-months in order to get the SE unlocked and by the end of the month will be moving over to Red Pocket Mobile.

I feel like a sucker, I paid for a 32GB SE at Best Buy for $195 because it was quite literally the last one I could find in the entire state of CT that wasn't locked to one of the third-rate prepaid carriers (Total, TracFone, Simple, etc.). I put it on the unlimited plan to test out AT&T but now I'll just idly keep it on their cheapest eligible plan for the next five months to unlock it and disconnect the line. Verizon and T-Mobile vastly outperform AT&T here.

REALLY wish I could've gotten one of these unlocked ones instead in SG, 128GB of course but even 32GB like I have now would've been cool.

I hadn’t priced them. Those were identical unlocked, brand new 128GB SEs in sealed boxes, not refurbished, and capable of full Apple Care +?

If so, then I stand corrected ... guess I’ll be headed over to eBay to buy one for $150 then?

EDIT: just checked eBay. Nothing like that exists. They’ve all got something sketchy going on ... not capable of Apple Care +, activated overstocks in sealed boxes? Definitely not brand new Apple devices.

Desperate times... No, actually, it's still a great little phone. Now they need to take the XR design, shrink it down to around the SE size, and watch how many people buy it. I'm not a small phone person but I think there's a big enough market to justify an SE2. I actually think if they stuffed the A11 processor, upgraded camera, added an upgraded display to wide gamut, they could sell this thing fro $400-$450 all day.

Shoot at that price, I'm nearly tempted to pick up a 128GB.
Me too. I don’t like little phones, but it doesn’t hurt to have a spare device if needed in a pinch.
[doublepost=1547969008][/doublepost]I didn’t even realize the Apple Store had a “clearance section.” Will check it out.
