That's a nice looking watch. I hope you enjoy wearing it.
Dude, seriously! There is a difference between buying an iphone and spending 17k on a 700 watch with 600 dollars of gold in it. Why can't people understand this. I suppose I could sell a gold covered turd and someone would say 'it's all relative.' Man, the world is over! F***CK!
Thank you
It is ridiculous we have to wait this long. I cancelled my Edition order because of this and now I am deciding whether I should get a 42mm or 38mm for Apple Sport. The $50 difference in price for the size is a joke. I may aim for 38mm one since it is much cheaper.
Wow. That guy bought two. Oh to have that much money...
It would be a smaller percentage of your income, but you would still be spending 17k on something it cost apple less than a thousand to make. You're still being ripped off even worse than with the normal Apple Watch.
Who cares! If people can afford and buy an edition then they can. No one stops you from making your daily purchases. Stop judging / hating.
Also, you should care about people wasting money. That money could have been spent making the world a better place instead of lining the pockets of Cook et al.
Luxury items usually are examples of excellent craftsmanship. The edition is just a normal apple watch with gold. Plus unlike other 16k dollar watches it'll be obsolete in a year. A Rolex would last a life time or more.

Detected: the common mistake of assuming money = a more fulfilled life (unless you're living in a slum in the 3rd world, which I doubt).
You imply that all Watch owners will stop using their original Watch once the next model is available. Which you know won't be happening but it makes for a greater effect claiming so.What a waste for something that will be outdated in a year.
Spending 16k on a freaking Apple Watch is so dumb. Shows the stupidity and excess of our time.
You can get great looking, long-lasting mechanical watches for a few thousand Dollars. You can also spend 10 times as much on one. Based on your definition, everybody buying any watch costing more than maybe $10'000 is being ripped off.It would be a smaller percentage of your income, but you would still be spending 17k on something it cost apple less than a thousand to make. You're still being ripped off even worse than with the normal Apple Watch.
Are diamonds examples of craftsmanship (their cutting might be, but that is not mainly what makes them so expensive)?Luxury items usually are examples of excellent craftsmanship. No, I've seen estimates by watch experts that put the value of the gold used more at 1k to 2k.Less than $1k to make? I think the value of the gold alone that goes into it is $5 or $6k.
Forgot to upload this pic.
Yes, but what is the difference between buying dinner plates for $20 or $500 a piece?Dude, seriously! There is a difference between buying an iphone and spending 17k on a 700 watch with 600 dollars of gold in it. Why can't people understand this. Do you really think everybody with 10k+ watch has a bodyguard?I wouldnt feel safe wearing one of these in public. Worried about getting stabbed for a watch. You would need a couple of body guards with you at all times, unless you want to take the risk.
No dumber than what a homeless person would think about you or I spending $750 for a SS Apple Watch. Its all relative. If I made $50M a year, spending $16K for a watch is actually a WHOLE LOT less than me spending $750 with my income....
Post another pic of you wearing it with a note to us. Then I'll believe you.
Nothing against you, I'm just naturally suspicious of people
No but it would buy me more nice things. I fully get that money doesn't equal happiness though.
