I can't imagine anything eclipsing the original Mac unveiling there. If you haven't seen it, it's worth watching again, that is with the historical perspective that no computer had ever done any of the things any personal computer had ever done before.

And there probably won't be any real Mac news, so it might be a little to much over hype.

Considering this is the venue where Steve Jobs showed off the Mac for the first time 30 years ago, the significance of this event is quite huge. Almost certainly backs the existence of a new product pipeline. (Wearable maybe?..)

perhaps this building will be in the shape of the original Mac

Those with more knowledge, would you say its good time to buy some more stock right now? I usually think its better after the event as the hype is always higher than reality so after the announcement the stock goes down for a while and its a good opportunity to invest but if they announce iWatch that may not happen. What do you think? Wait and see or risk it now?

A testing room for solar powered iWatch (or iPhone 6?), wide open to the sky: for more environmently-friendly feeling.
So then the invited people and press can test the solar powered feature.

The room would also look like the Fifth-Avenue store glass box design, just bigger.

If they do announce the iWatch then they've done an amazing job at keeping it a secret with no parts leaked at all. Fingers crossed.

Which is darn impressive, given the iphone leaks over the years...

"Apple has not held an event at the Flint Center in many years, so the company's return to the site of the original Mac unveiling suggests its upcoming announcement will be a major one." -Macrumors

Hmm...I didn't know that the original Mac was unveiled there. Maybe the iWatch is indeed going to be announced and then shipped in 2015.

Strange how Apple seems to be pulling out all the stops for one single event. They really are going all in on this pre-holiday season without a need for spacing out events. And they still might follow up with October event too!

Given how much they are tossing into this I doubt there will be an Oct event. On sale dates sure, but another announcement I'm not believing.

Dude, can you imagine Cook, Schiller, Cue, Federighi, etc. taking you through each room of a model home and showing off all the iPhone/iWatch integrated features with everyday devices and equipment? Kitchen, home gym… How about the long rumored iTV in the freaking lving room???

And, just imagine, only $50K to upgrade your home and to replace all your appliances! Soon, we can by the iOven, the iDishwasher, the iAirConditioner, it's endless possibilities! Then, my new iWatch can tell me I'm dying from the stress of it all! Damn, I'm so pumped!

Is this Apply copying the Google mystery container barge for product demos? Except on dry land so the Bay conservation types can't complain and have it towed off.

Gotta build a stage for Dr Dre to introduce the new products via artistic performance, dunno why everybody is oblivious to this

Ned Ludd? Is that you back from the dead? :D

So if this holds more people than Moscone, and usually these events are small and only for the press, where are all the extra people from? Just a whole lot more press or what?

Hey MR, when did Apple say the next iPhone would be called iPhone 6? And if we really want to be picky, where in their invite did they say this event is about iPhone?
