Ha .... Yup good call Steve. Look at you now. /smh
Ever clean that finger? Naughty...karma

Wtf are you talking about????!
The majority of your posts make so little sense, they seem like they were cobbled together by bots for a joke post on Reddit.
In this case:
Some COMPLETELY disparate unrelated photos. Recent color photos of an artistic engineering marvel, and a 25 year old b&w photo of our favorite rebel.... then the comment "look at you now" to a DEAD man?? What could that morbid comment possibly mean? Followed by some creepy comment about him having a naughty dirty finger (again, I have NO idea what you mean).
Lastly, you mention karma.
Are you saying his death is what he deserved for flipping off the IBM logo????!
What are you trying to say??

Please stick to posting about tech, ok?
You're creeping out and upsetting the decent folks around here.

Yup lovely quote's like...

"(about the iPhone) And boy, have we patented it!"
Steve Jobs, 2007.

So humble. Great vision LOL

Oh man ,that was soooo long ago in tech.

A quick browse of your previous posts hasn't offered much insight, other than you don't seem to like any Apple products, or anything Apple does, or anything they have ever done, for that matter. It's an enigma. Even the seasoned grumblers around here brandish a nostalgic view of Jobs, or the Apple of old.

To be blunt: why are you here?

The monument is ..interesting as is what Jobs railed against, the rest you read too much into. It is about tech, Apl is now the largest company market cap wise, interesting he literlly created what he hated. Apl is much worse than IBM ever was. Sweet irony

I own two Ipads a few Ipods looking to see what new rumors there are, one I actually paid Apl for as a gift to my wife. They used to have good products I'll give them that. So I am a current Apl consumer believe it or not , I can update the Ipad in my trunk anytime. Or the one my wife never uses anymore in her nightstand drawer. Some apl users don't like this Tim direction , i'm one of them.

If I want to see the latest apps to compare costs to the Windows Store, fire up my Ipad...I can I have an Apl, account. Even Icloud unused

Does one have to like the current apl to post here? I'm confused. I bought apl just like you. So I may have a different opinion of the company than you, that's ok. I should not have to explain why to you.

It's not really a great irony. To say Jobs simply railed against big companies is a very watered down view. It was more the attitude towards consumers and products.

Plus you're forgetting Apple were huge in the late '70s with the boom of the Apple II. Steve Jobs was worth $200 million before the Macintosh was ever released; and yes, a fair few years before he was photographed giving the finger to big-blue.

I appreciate your efforts to try and stir the pot. But your unfamiliarity of the most basic points only serves to make yourself look foolish. I'm sure you have the capacity to make reasoned arguments and add a lot to the discussion if you tried. :)

Apl does many of the same things IBM did Today. Ask Mac users. It really is irony.

The main building, which has been referred to as the "Spaceship" building, includes 17 megawatts of rooftop solar power, meaning Apple Park will be running one of the largest solar energy installations on the planet when it opens in April.

I was hoping they would be able to pull 1.21 gigawatts through those panels. Maybe if they get struck by lightning? ;)

Apple Park..... I like it.

But just the theatre being named after Steve? I mean I wouldn't know how to name the main building but surely there should be more to commemorate one of the founders

Maybe they'll have his tomb on display.

That price is about right if you factor in inflation, and that doesn't take into account R&D.
There was R&D for the 2012 model too so that argument is no good. Inflation does matter but I'm certain it hasn't caused prices to go up 10% which is about the amount they raised prices. It's really as simple as Apple wants to keep growing and they have saturated their markets so the easy way for profit growth is to raise prices.

Is it an office, is it a design centre, is it a factory ? No it's a ..............

Well, it's the temporary way to profit growth. Apple did this with iPad Pro 9.7. Sold fewer iPads but made as much $ the first quarter of its release as the previous quarter. Then back to decline. iPad revenue is down 22% YOY and that is with the price increases. So raising prices to support diminishing sales is hardly a fix. OTOH making timely products that people want to upgrade to is. The laptop market did not just become saturated or mature. It's been that way for years.

You have no concept of Apple; now or then.
You have no concept of IBM; now or then.

At the time- IBM was principally a hardware company with very little interest in doing things "new & creative", & certainly almost no interest in doing things "artistic and beautiful".
The suits were into "safe", and "status quo".

The only "sweet irony" here is that YOU are posting about a company that is that is clearly not risk adverse, that removes ports & slims batteries in the pursuit of minimalistic beauty & has now created one of the most gorgeous buildings ever, with the stated purpose of creativity & collaboration- and claiming that it is what IBM was.

Just no.
