Got the email invite yesterday. When I click on apply now, it opens the wallet app and when I hit continue, I get the message. Apple Card unavailable. Please try again later. WTF?

All you have to do is soft reset your iPhone and you are good to go.

Just got an invite last night.

I think I'm gonna wait for my $1200 payment to post to my credit report before I apply, lol. Not taking any chances. Seems $10,000 is the highest limit I've seen...?

got 40K...

So I get an email. "Your invite to Apple Card is waiting." It links back to the Apple website Apple Card page and asks to input the "Notify Me". This makes 3 times that I've entered that info. Still no actual invitation.

Funny... I just received the email notification and my card has been active since last Thursday

Applied and denied, with a FICO score of 850. The problem: I’m retired, and they considered income too low. This seems to be a deal for younger people, still working with high incomes. I’ve never been denied credit before, but retirement is a whole new world in lots of ways.

I'm retired a Firefighter. FICO score of 850. mid 5digit income. Got $10k 12.99%
I have several cards the same amount, and several over that. They gave me what I expected they would.
Seems like their approvals are beyond our logic

I am amazed at how many Apple fans who frequent forums never carry a balance on their credit card and have high FICO scores. Mac users must be doing something right...

My FICO score was 625 in 2006 right after I retired. Had 25k in credit card debt. I started reading every budget article I could find. And settled on the Envelope system, paying everything in cash. So I could see where my money was going. Gave top priority and paid off my credit cards. Finally got my score up to 800 in 2010, it's been 840-850 since 2012. I never paid interest again. After a stressful career, I'm now living stress free life.

Yeah some of my other reward cards have higher interest rates but it doesn't matter to me because I never carry a balance.

Well I applied, and turned down the offer. Not worth it.

5k at 24%. One of my CCs is $20,000 and 17.99% so idk what the issue is.

Anyone know if the "Invite" has an expiration date? I'm in the process of refinancing our mortgage to a shorter term and taking advantage of lower rates, so I can't open up any new credit account until that closes (probably a couple of weeks away). I'm mean I'm sure Apple/Goldman Sachs want as many consumers as possible - however I wouldn't put it past them to expire the invite and have some other process in the future.

There will be no expiration date, as it will go to a full release to everyone sometime soon. So you won't miss anything, and smart to wait.

I wasn't going to get the card but after a few adult beverages last night (my birthday) I decided to check it out and ended up getting it. They said my score was an 814 and I got approved for $9k and 17.99%. I don't keep balances so the percentage rate isn't of concern.

It is best to have a few “adult beverages” before dealing with Apple these days. :). Good for you. All the best.

The high percentage reminds me of that short lived, yet absolutely hilarious looney tunes short with the shark and piranha where the shark would always say “e-Gotch’ya!” Lol.

Just a correction. It’s the end of the month for everyone. No billing cycles.
Where are you? Because Capital One is one I know do real time EOM reporting. I have Amex, Chase, Barclay, Citibank, etc and have daily credit monitoring with myFICO and no it’s not my End of the month balance that reports, it’s what remains unpaid the day after my statement close dates. Amex gets froggy sometimes and may do a mid cycle balance report
