Just got an invite last night.

I think I'm gonna wait for my $1200 payment to post to my credit report before I apply, lol. Not taking any chances. Seems $10,000 is the highest limit I've seen...?

Ok agreed to a point... Apple IS making it available but the one who is taking all the risk is GS.. They are the one's running the credit check and issuing you the credit not apple..

Just because you don't pay off off your balance every month doesn't mean your misusing credit. Everyone's finances are different. I'm sure there are plenty of consumers who make alot of money and still carry a balance on their cards... Doesn't mean they are misusing it, just means that's the way it works for their household.

Interest negates the rewards you earn, so yes you are misusing a rewards card. If you expect to hold a balance, the AC is not for you. Instead you should go with a card that will net you a 12 to 18 month 0% APR. It literally is not rocket science. Credit cards should always be paid off on the due date every month. If you don't have the money to pay it off, you don't have the money to spend on credit. It's that simple. Misuse causes debt.

Applied and denied, with a FICO score of 850. The problem: I’m retired, and they considered income too low. This seems to be a deal for younger people, still working with high incomes. I’ve never been denied credit before, but retirement is a whole new world in lots of ways.

There have been quite a few people getting 40-50k limits. All depends on income-credit score ratio, etc.

My card was mailed yesterday and it arrived today. I'm at work so of course I haven't seen it yet.

One thing I dislike about it so far -- I can't post payments ahead before balances are reflected and just have my payments posted as credit and then just get posted as payments once balances clear from vendors.

Somebody claimed a $30K approval. Though it may have been in another thread. They were bemoaning that they couldn't use it to get a fully decked out Mac Pro. Meanwhile, I impatiently await my invitation.

Received the email yesterday, applied, and was approved for $4500 at 23.99% interest. My credit score is 688-707 depending on which bureau is checked.

Not planning on using this card sue to the high interest rate. Interesting how it was reported that many banks passed on this due to low profit. Really? At the interest rates I'm seeing, that is NOT the case.

2 points, why did you apply if you ain't gonna use it? ,plus every time a credit report is done on you, your credit score actually goes down, so it's even more confusing as to why you've applied?

Just being nosy...

I requested a physical card. But, on second thought, I don't think I'm going to carry it. I use a slim card holder instead of a wallet. I don't want to carry a lot of cards. I like to have my debit card, just in case I need to get cash, and there isn't an atm that has ApplePay. Also Chase Amazon Prime and Discover. The physical Apple Card doesn't beat either of these, as it's only 1% cash back. Amazon Prime and Discover both have at least 1%. Amazon Prime is always 2% at restaurants. (5% at Amazon, but the physical card has nothing to do with that) Discover has rotating categories that give 5%. Right now, restaurants is one of those, so that's the card I'm using now, when I eat out. Both of those cards' rewards are super easy to redeem.
There is no reason for me to carry this card.

My invite arrived last night. I have spotless, but active credit (they like to see that you use it, but not abuse it). FICO of 844. I have an Amex and another MasterCard with $20k or better limits. I make six figures.

They gave me a limit of 10K and 12.99%. Makes me wonder if the few people who are claiming more are full of it.

Got the email invite yesterday. When I click on apply now, it opens the wallet app and when I hit continue, I get the message. Apple Card unavailable. Please try again later. WTF?

Like I said SOME people can't pay off their credit card debt due to many reasons. If it works for their household then so be it.. Not everyone has the means to be able to pay off their balance every month.. I pay mine off every in full every month. WHEN I USE IT.. I don't use it often. WE should be having charge cards instead of credit cards.. Charge cards HAVE to be paid in full every month..

Doesn't mean others can't make more than you. Someone making high 6 figures with a lower credit score would likely have a much higher limit. Income weighs heavily on your limit, but your score got you 12.99%, the best they offer.

My profile is similar to yours. FICO score in the mid 800s. Discover Card, Visa Card, Amex Card and multiple Mastercards with credit limits $20k+. Six figure income. I was approved with a limit of 10k and 12.99% APR

I don't make six figures. But, my score is also in the same range. I have excellent credit, almost no debt.
The credit limit is in line with what other credit companies have given me...but, the interest rate is not. They gave me a rate somewhere in the middle. Every other card issuer has given me the lowest rate that they offer. I don't carry a balance, so I don't pay interest. So, I know that it doesn't really matter. But, it's still a little insulting. Oh, well.

I find this odd although I don't know your financial situation. I am retired from a government career (not in the US) and get a pension. This is a guaranteed monthly income with annual cost of living increases until I die. It is not huge but it is much more secure than some working person's salary as they could lose their job next month. I hope the decision was truly based on amount of income and not on being in the retired category.

I have 845 and I only got a $9000 limit. I don’t use credit card or hold credit card debt long, so I am sure that was a major factor. Still that limit and 17.99% rate they gave me is not close to my primary credit card. I was actually planning on starting to use the Apple Card for most payments since it will be convenient to manage, but it wouldn’t make sense for me at that rate and credit.
Do you typically carry a balance from month to month?

Upon invitation, extremely easy application, immediate approval, good credit limit and good interest rate, was able to use immediately and works great with ApplePay and online. Received the physical card today, attractive card, solid weight, very easy to activate. I like that it’s through GoldmanSachs.

Nope, they're not full of it.

I have been using the card in place of my debit card. I wait a day or so (when it comes off pending and pay it off. I use my debit card for regular purchases before...now I am going to use AC for those purchases and get the cash back I would miss with debit.

If you are truly making six figures and are willing to accept 12.99 percent interest, there is something not quite right here.

This Apple card seems to be a status thing. The perks are not that good. but to each their own I guess. Price you pay for status. My FICO is 820. This card does not seem like a good deal to me.

I just really don’t care about interest rate as I never carry a balance, and especially on this card which I will barely use, it is essentially irrelevant to me. Agree that perks are not good, just got it for fanboyism, nothing else.

If you’re using credit cards properly, the interest should be of zero concern.

Literally "zero" concern, as in 0% paid in interest.

I got my invite email Monday, yesterday, but I'm still unsure if I want another credit card. I have quite a few and most of them are in a drawer. I like having my main card with my main bank as I check that daily and just pay if off every week while checking my other accounts. The other cards I check once every few weeks to make sure they haven't been compromised. My main card does not have the best cash rewards but its also easy to cash in on the cash rewards and have it put into my checking account. I get a small bonus for doing that as well. I hate to cancel my unused cards because that is my only critique, my accounts are all fairly young. Even my mortgage since I refinanced 5 years ago when rates were low, switched from a 30 to a 15.
