I really dont feel a need for one, Im happy for the people that get them but I see this as another way Apple is sinking a hook into its users. No web interface and you can only view purchases and make payments through the wallet app basically force people to own an iPhone. I switch between iPhones and Androids every other year so when I switch over to Android I will have no way of paying for card.

Why would you dick around with the apple card which has no sign up bonus when you can use your citi doublecash and get 2% back on everything whether you use the physical card or apple pay?

The apple card is an absolutely horrible credit card in terms of rewards. But hey, to each their own. Someone has to subsidize the game for the rest of us.
It’s not horrible for Apple specific purchases and Apple Pay.

John Gruber is right, Apple Card needs a web interface. What if someone owns a Mac but not an iPhone. Does Apple think they wouldn’t want an Apple Card. I know the web is an afterthought for the company but hopefully this is just temporary. What Apple should do is make a really great Mint competitor. I’m sure they could make a great app/website for you to track all your finances.

More people own iPhones than Macs. The bulk of Apple Pay transactions take place in shops and not online. Maybe Apple could eventually get round to creating a web interface but I feel that is not really on the top of their priority list right now.

Applies but was declined. Said I had a recent late payment even though my credit monitoring says 100% on time. Oh well.

said the same for me. and I checked my credit report and I am on time, something is wrong with their system.

Apple will soon introduce the ‘Apple Card Pro Series 2’ with a $750 annual fee for the space gray color, and a $1250 annual fee for gold, which also comes with a handsome plastic Apple keychain!
Take my money already Apple.

I bet in the next few years they’ll have a black version of this card with annual high fees, higher qualification requirements and people will jump on it right away because it’s black

Very little value with this card, my "good" 740 credit score qualified me for a maximum 24% APR. Why pay an extra ~8% APR for the nice interface? I do like the chip only card, but seems like a rip off when comparing it to every other credit card on the market.

Wait... What?! Highest limit I’ve seen so far. Wow. Good APR too. What’s your credit profile look like? If you don’t mind sharing.

I personally plan on paying off this card every month thus not paying any interest. I’m glad I got it.

Hard to know what factors they use for sure - I just applied, credit score is 833 and was approved for 10k limit with 12.99 rate.

Credit scores are meaningless in the UK as we have multiple credit reference agencies, do the actually have an influence in the US? Genuine question.

In the UK they are just a made up arbitrary number.

Just got mine:
17.99% with a 800+ credit score and over 100k / year income.
My only debt is my house and it is currently worth twice what I owe on it.
How the heck do I get 12.99%? Million / year income?

I pay off my current Amazon credit card every month. I use it for everything to get free books!
I think this card it a bit out of my league.

I got 12.99% with 20k limit. Just checked my credit score is just above 800

Started the application for one. I figure I'm a good candidate. Credit scores of 825, several US credit cards and bank accounts. US residence address and phone number. But, I was asked for a State ID. I tried a US Passport and a US Global Entry card. Both were rejected. I don't have a state ID or drivers license because I spend most of my time out of the US. This is the first time it has mattered.

I guess I'm SOL.

I got my card last week and the Apple card is some how being used for Apple/iTunes charges without me authorizing it as my primary card. Does anyone know how to correct this?

Mine automatically changed to Apple Card too. I don’t know why you wouldn’t want that though. Anyway to change it go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores an then tap on your Apple ID. You can manage payment methods there.

Just in case anyone missed it, you do get a few benefits from this, like some small travel and shopping benefits. Maybe more importantly you get Mastercard's identity theft and credit monitoring service. There's a link in the card properties in Wallet that takes you here.

Questions on the ID Theft and Fraud features---don't do this much

1. It is 100% free?

2. Am I going to get inundated with advertising?

Anyone using these to give me real world answers?

Thanks

Could you @ me when you do have some progress. Thanks.

99.9% of under reviews are declines. Some issues cannot be expressed through the app application, but must be sent to you via mail. For example, if you have a bankruptcy you will likely go under review and receive a letter. I am not saying any of you have this, only that some reasons can only be expressed by the creditor.

I wish Apple could provide 'just as quick reactions to Australia'. I guess when you have 100% of a country already with Apple pay, it makes more sense to roll out Apple card there first, then Apple loosing most potential Apple pay users who can only use the card.

Mine was approved last week. 20K limit, 17.99%. Credit 830+
I had never used Apple Cash Card until now. The Apple Cash Card identification process failed. Talked to Apple customer service (good) ... 3 times transferred to Green Dot (who handles Apple Cash Card), they said there was suspicious activity on my Apple Cash Card (never used, and now with a 0.22 balance due to Apple Card usage). Green Dot said there is nothing they can do, my Apple Cash Card will not be approved.
Apple Card without the Apple Cash Card rewards is useless in my opinion.
Green Dot has terrible customer service (even mentioned on Wikipedia). Apple should be worried about outsourcing services, and the customer service (or lack of it).
