Ok. I’ve tried 3 times with different lighting and backgrounds with my MN Enhanced DL. Until someone else confirms the EDLs are working, I’m done trying.

Old design (Tan) or New Design (Green)? I had a friend tell me the tan ones were working...not sure though as I don't have a tan one.

One thing I learned when I got my card. If you order the physical card after you are accepted and you want to get updates on when you will receive it you will have to make sure that “Block Pop Ups” is turned off in Safari. You do by going to Settings>Safari>General>Block Pop Ups. I wasn’t getting any updates and called Apple/Goldman Sachs and they recommend this solution. Shortly after I turned it off I was notified that the card had shipped.

Why are people needing to scan their ID?

Not everyone has to do it, although I did. It’s just another security measure.

Should work with Apple Pay:
Costco warehouse locations accept:

  • All Visa Cards
  • The Costco Anywhere Visa Card by Citi
  • Most PIN-based Debit/ATM Cards
  • Costco Cash Cards*
  • Cash
  • Personal checks from current Costco Members
  • Business checks from current Costco Business Members
  • Traveler's checks
  • EBT cards
  • Mobile Payment (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay)

I might be missing something, but I used the apple credit card to purchase at both the physical and online Costco stores and as you know the card is a MasterCard.

Dont know if anybody mentioned but Apple Card is a World Elite tier MasterCard. Just Type your Apple Card Number Below and register

The one stood out to me the most is definetely which I never really need but some people might find this usefull.
Cell Phone Protection
Bad luck doesn’t have to ruin your week. World Elite Mastercard comes with $1,000 in yearly coverage ($800 max per claim, 2 claims per year) should your cell phone get stolen or need certain repairs. Simply pay for your cell phone bill with your World Elite Mastercard to activate coverage.

They excepted my Apple Card and as you are aware it is a MasterCard.

As you can see from the Payment section here: -

https://www.costco.com/member-privileges-conditions.html

They implicitly say they don't accept it. Perhaps there's something about the nature of ApplePay (and possibly other services like Samsung Pay, Google wallet etc.) that means they don't care who the issuer is.

I linked to all of the eligible services earlier

Just in case anyone missed it, you do get a few benefits from this, like some small travel and shopping benefits. Maybe more importantly you get Mastercard's identity theft and credit monitoring service. There's a link in the card properties in Wallet that takes you here.

You do get a few things from that.

I did not use Apple Pay, I used the physical card numbers and the cvs number when I checked out.

That was my online purchase, used the physical card at the warehouse yesterday.

Very weird. They ostensibly haven't accepted MasterCard since 2016. Must try it next time I'm in. I already bought enough paper goods to have downed the Amazon (the forest, not the website) last week though. Wonder if it works at the gas pump too.

We really like the Kirkland brand paper towels and bbq ribs Don’t use the gas pumps so I wouldn’t know, but don’t see why it wouldn’t work

John Gruber is right, Apple Card needs a web interface. What if someone owns a Mac but not an iPhone. Does Apple think they wouldn’t want an Apple Card. I know the web is an afterthought for the company but hopefully this is just temporary. What Apple should do is make a really great Mint competitor. I’m sure they could make a great app/website for you to track all your finances.

Approved with 17.99% apr. 20k limit. Didn't really need it as I get 2.5% back with another card but for the novelty of it why not?

Yeah and it's sure not the only thing that does. If Maps had a web interface they'd have much higher engagement in terms of people submitting changes and POI. They have the APIs for maps at this point, they just need to pull the finger out and do it.

Easy process took about 2-3 minutes, scanned DL with iPad Pro and worked first time. Stats: $20,000 limit @ 12.99%. TransU: 815, per annum $260k. Never carry a credit card balance so interest rate doesn't matter, but low is good if ever needed. Normally use airline card for miles. But I will use this card for Apple store purchases and the cool titanium card occasionally for fun for small things.

Why would you use your physical card and get 1% when you can use Apple Pay and get 2%? If they took the physical card they surly would have taken Apple Pay.

Why would you dick around with the apple card which has no sign up bonus when you can use your citi doublecash and get 2% back on everything whether you use the physical card or apple pay?

The apple card is an absolutely horrible credit card in terms of rewards. But hey, to each their own. Someone has to subsidize the game for the rest of us.
