I was offered 12.99% APR w/

- 800+ CS
- 100K income

...but a $7.5K limit.

LOL. That low limit makes it less than ideal and quite strange. I struggle to see how I'd use this anymore than my Amex Blue Preferred.

Current setup:

Amex Blue Preferred: Groceries, general shopping, streaming subs
Chase Sapphire Reserved: Travel, dining out, foreign transactions

Meh.

Pretty good strategy you have going on. I've been doing it all wrong, knowingly, for a long time now. I put everything on an AMEX Delta Platinum - I know I'm not getting a good return miles wise. I do use the free checked baggage a lot and the companion pass so I am still getting my money's worth (offsetting annual fee).

That AMEX Blue Preferred looks intriguing though. Does Costco count as a 'supermarket' for the 6%?

People like to rip on the Apple card, but 2% cash back on ALL purchases, provided you can us Apple Pay, is pretty decent for a $0 annual fee card.

still not able to apply!!! I have power cycled my phone and signed out of icloud and signed back in. Anyone else having a similar experience?

Same here. I don't see it.
I am not seeing it either. Maybe the rollout is location based?

Signed up as soon as I saw the email this morning. Signup was super fast and easy and I am happy with the limit/rate I got. I pay my cards off each month and the interest rate doesn't matter much to me. My main goto card is an AMEX airline card (high fee. but I have it for airline/travel benefits). I am sort of maxed out for the year on benefits with that card, so no point spending more on it. The Apple card is nice to have for stores that do (a) Apple Pay (b) don't accept AMEX (but accept MC). I used to have a Visa card for those cases but will use the Apple Card now and see how it goes. For foreign travel, I like that the Apple Card doesn't charge foreign exchange fees (the Visa I have does).

So if you are looking for a low-interest rate: Wrong card for you. If you are looking for something simple with decent cashback/no fees: The Apple Card compares very well to other cards.

FWIW: A lot of cards have pseudo benefits that don't really work, like rental car insurance that is secondary to your normal car insurance. They just use benefits like this to "stuff" their benefits lists.

EDIT:

Forgot Costco is visa only now. :(

I use Apple Pay there so I don't pay attention lol.

I agree that on the whole, a flat 2% back on Apple Pay purchases w/ no annual fee is pretty sweet. There's a few instances where that would be really beneficial for me...but it seems like a chore to keep up with it all.

There's really nothing to complain about save for being further entrenched in the walled garden. But if you're doing that knowingly, then NBD.

Thanks!

Costco, and warehouse stores in general, fall into the 1% category, unfortunately. Considering I shop there with regular occurrence, it's annoying but "is what it is."

I don’t know why anyone is even bothering to mention Costco. You can’t use the AppLe Card at Costco because it’s a MasterCard!

I have similar stats (6-figure income, 835 FICO score, zero cc debt, only thing I owe is a home mortgage) and got 12.99APR and $10,000 limit. I was surprised my limit was so low as I have 1 card with a $40,000 limit and another with a $30,000 limit.

Same boat here. They’re looking at your/their potential liabilities. Obviously we don’t require another enormous line of credit.

It’s actually refreshing to see.

I believe s/he was asking due to my mention of AMEX, not necessarily b/c of the Apple Card.

..and I'm always willing to talk points-strategy :)

I found it.

Open Wallet, hit the plus sign, then click continue. On the Card Type page you should see Apple Card as the 2nd option.

It actually does have a sort of loyalty punchcard, buy 34 iPhones get one free.
99 bottles of beer on the wall
99 bottles of beer
Take one down, pass it around,
And guess what, you’re drinking warm beer

None of you should care in the slightest what the APR is. You should be paying it in full at the end of every month so the APR doesn't mean jack.

My score just crept back to 800 after Macy's surprised me by closing an inactive card a couple of months ago. Low $100k+ income and I got 17.99% and $7500. Decided to take it and I'll talk to GS about a limit increase in 6-12 months when they've seen I always pay in full monthly or bi-monthly. Hard for me to get the best terms, having only been in the US for 4 years and therefore having a short history.

I use Apple Pay at retail stores and online pretty much daily so I'll use this for those occasions and my Amazon card for gas and restaurants (and Amazon, of course). Looking forward to Apple adding more perks on this.

Yes, this is the place. Welcome!

PS. I care, I love statistics and crazy calculations.

While I can completely understand your love of statistics, I'm a auditor myself and find them interesting as well, you'll have to take these comments with a grain of salt. The average credit score in of an American 695, It gets even more interesting when you factor in age range. Millennials aren't doing so well... So for all these people to be at 800 or above is highly unlikely.

Maybe I should call Apple Card specialist since they can’t identity can’t be verified off my social security number I did it more than once
[doublepost=1566321130][/doublepost]They hiring I’ll take a job there lol

Dieter Bohn at The Verge felt the need to send out a PSA tweet that Apple Card wasn’t some new cool piece of tech it was a credit card. Why do tech writers treat people like they’re idiots?

Titanium is to metal
As fork is to utensil
Haha! Very true. The Amazon card is noticeably heavier than other cards. Titanium is a lightweight metal, the card may be metal but have a lighter feel. The amazon is probably solid lead. I chew on the corners.

I know a lot of people aren't excited about the Apple Card, but to me it's the iPhone UI for paying the card that has me attracted. its now my daily card as it's easy to pay off once it clears and I get that 2% on everything.
