Why? What's the difference. Sending money with a credit card was taken out of Apple Pay (Cash) a while ago. I mean essentially it is a cash advance. Just send money with a debit card or checking account that doesn't take a fee to do.

I am pretty amused by these posts. On the one hand you have all the “credit is evil. If you sign up for this card you will end up eating out of dumpsters and living in a refrigerator box” people. On the other hand you have the “this card doesn’t let me be irresponsible enough. I demand the ability to send cash from my Apple Card - and of course the only reason that would be useful is if I don’t have cash to send from a checking account, so I demand the right to go into debt!”

Not everybody banks with a bank that supports Apple Pay. I cannot SEND with a debit card or checking account with Apple Pay Cash.

I can with PayPal, or I could write a check or pay cash, but I'd prefer Apple Pay Cash.

See my explanation above.

Oh well, not feeling the love here yet. Apparently having extraordinary credit, a Developer Account, and more Apple devices than I can count, are NOT enough to merit an email inviting me to seek and obtain a credit card that I do not need, but would like to try just for the heck of it.

Same boat here. Annoying.

Just as you can choose not to use Apple Card because it does not meet your needs, you can choose a bank that supports Apple Pay.

Their response...”I understand how this can be frustrating. The Apple Card does not support money transfers. Yet, the money on your Apple Cash can be used to send to the family member.”

I asked... “Do you know if they will support it?”

Their response...”At this time, there is not a time-frame for when Apple Card will support money transfers.”
[doublepost=1565122254][/doublepost]I guess a loop hole could be to do a cash advance, since there are no fees.

dont make that mistake, just because there are no fees doesn't mean anything with a cash advance. all cards that do a cash advance have a huge interest rate to pay off first. some cards hit you with a 30% interest rate to pay back the cash advance you took. so never do that unless it's an absolute emergency. besides this is a credit card, you were never going to use the apple card to send people money. it isn't a debit card.

It seems like a fair number of people have received invites based on the participation in this thread.

Does anyone think the rollout will continue this way, or will they just flip a switch at some point?

I know some people with invites mentioned they received an "unavailable" message for a bit, perhaps meaning that the system was overloaded.

Sadly, I am checking my Wallet app literally every 10 minutes today just hoping that mine will stop giving me the "Camera to take a picture of a card" and instead show me a Apple Card option. DAMN YOU TIM COOK!! HOOK ME UP BRO!! I want my sign up feature.

Received an invite via email 5 hours ago and still in the boat of waiting for "Apply" to show up... Maybe its a northeast thing.. though I saw some people got the invite in NYC.. so who knows.

I was one of the lucky ones to get the early invitation, unfortunately I'm not a US citizen so I don't have an SSN and couldn't apply for one :(

I have a feeling that this preview period will go on for a week before they open it up... Would still fall in the first half of August and give them time to do any testing they're doing with a larger audience. I hope I'm wrong!

That's interesting, though... Is your account listed as US? I would think they would screen who they send the email invitations to to ensure they're in the US.

Wont work... the card that is popping up asking for CSV isn't even on that list because it's not added to my phone. That's the issue...
This worked for me. My 0 generation Apple Watch had an old credit card on Apple Pay. I just removed all the payment accounts. I don’t use this Watch now.

I tried removing it from an older phone that had the payment listed. Also called Apple (again) for about an hour today and they are now connecting me with an Engineer to look further into the issue and see why it's still showing for me.

It's a soft pull - kinda like those pre-approved/pre-qualified offers you get from other cards

I understand "pre-approved" credit card offers (always thought it was more of a marketing gimmick) but I've never seen one that included a credit limit and APR before they do a hard check.

Crazy thing is! I never received an invite email or an invite via a push notification. I did sign up to be notified right after watching the live event announcing this service back in March.

I opened my wallet app this morning, clicked continue and there was Apple Card listed to select.

I was even more curious if we are only supplying the last 4 of our social, how do they pull the Transunion Report and approve the app anyways?

I was expecting this news today. Wonder how long it will take for it to be readily available in the States, hopefully by the end of the month.

On a side note. For those who have cards show up under add a card but they no longer have them or don’t want to show up, you need to call Apple, they will forward you Apple Pay who will then open a ticket with engineering.

I have a question.

I generally swap sim cards between my Xs Max and my X and have a different series 4 Apple Watches synced with each.
Will I be able to use the Apple Card on each phone and watch combinatioin? I would assume that I could because the Apple Card is tied to my Apple ID.

Very true, and thank you for informing me of this, as I never would have thought about it myself! ;)

As I've been telling people the last few days about the Apple Card, different strokes for different folks.

I live in a small community, and I prefer to bank with a local bank. I've continued to hold out hope for Apple Pay support since I heard they were making some big changes in late 2019. Sadly, an employee I had a conversation with last month said they were not going to support Apple Pay due to the high risk of fraud attached to it (yeah, I know, and sadly, she owns an iPhone), but I continued to hold out hope since she seemed confused about Apple Pay. She later told me I could use PayPal instead (I didn't get into Apple Pay Cash with her, so she was referring to shopping when she said that). The bank completes their changes this week, and she appeared to be correct regarding still not supporting Apple Pay, though they are once again supporting Quicken and Mint, which she told me was responsible for a good portion of the fraud the bank experiences, so I don't know.

I'm giving the bank until the Spring to support Apple Pay, or Apple to allow you to link a bank account without a debit card (for withdrawals, not deposits), and then I may start a bank account with an online bank that supports Apple Pay. I'd hate to have to do this, create another account to keep track of, but as you said, it's my choice.

There's a lot of people on the Apple Card threads judging people, assuming the worst of them. I didn't intend on telling the full story of why I'm disappointed that a service that I read was going to support a feature, isn't going to support that feature, but I guess I did.

Unfortunately, I know some other people whose bank(s) do not support Apple Pay, and was looking forward to using Apple Pay Cash with the Apple Card. I will be informing them it doesn't work.
