I have a question for the financial elite in here about the application, since I haven't received the invite yet...

Last year on 8/13 I purchased a used car. I applied for a loan myself before going in, and had the dealership make offers on loans as well. This led to six inquiries, two from each reporting agency.

As these inquiries are set to fall off my credit score next week, is it worth waiting six days to apply if I get the invite to the card?

I would like to maximize my credit limit and minimize my APR, even though I won't ever touch both.

Makes no difference, my credit is active monthly with inquiries yet I have no issues. As long as all your payments are up to date and income to debt ratio is great, you are okay. But up to you end of the day.

Anyone from Ohio able to apply yet? Still waiting and signed up within an hour of announcement for signups

I did not receive any email to sign up but i went to my Apple wallet and sure enough the Apple Card was there. I tapped on it and went through the sign up process. Then I received the confirmation emails and is now an available option in my Wallet.

I got denied as well for the "you have recently been past due" reason. The review shows my credit score as much higher than what Credit Karma is telling me; almost 100 points higher. Also, according to Credit Karma, I have 100% payment history - I can't remember being past due - maybe a few years ago when I got into credit trouble but I worked really hard to pay everything off. I also closed a lot of accounts when I paid them off a la Dave Ramsey's rules. The only card I have now is a Discover which I've been totally responsible with and pay off the total balance every month.

they must have you confused with someone else? I guess that’s why every other card asks for your full social instead of just the last 4 digits.

My score was slightly higher than my credit karma, 25 pts I believe. I have a Discover and Capital One card that Ive also paid on monthly and have never been late. Know its more than likely due to student loans but considering Ive been approved by Discover and Capital one and an amazon store card that Ive been approved for and even gotten credit increases so not sure. Theres no way Im finding to contact anyone so oh well

For those that were able to add it via “+”, did it ever show you a screen where it was showing cards previously added? Didn’t know if that was affecting anything. Have tried link from forum in iMessage etc and still getting the “Unavailable” message.

I have an iPhone XR and an iPhone 7 Plus. The 7 Plus had what you described as late as 11PM last night. As of around 3AM last night, I had the option to apply for the Apple Card on both phones.

Yeah – when I tried it this morning, I hit the +, hit continue and then it just shows a bunch of cards that I added in the past that are no longer on the phone, then hit “add a different card,” and it just shows the camera screen.

I have the same. I'm also the organizer of a family account. I know the card is unique per Apple ID but are they excluding family accounts for now?

No. I got mine this morning and I am the organizer of a family account. I didn't receive a notification, I just used the + button and hit continue and saw Apple Card as an option.

edit: Also, awesome, this is post #666.

I have the same as well. And I'm also the family organizer and haven't been able to see the Apple Card in wallet yet either.

The potentially good news is that once you're able to apply, you should have the Apple Card option if my experience is any indication. Then again, my experience probably isn't the norm with having two phones.

Thanks, I'll try again later. Oddly, on my work phone/Apple ID (which I never even signed up for notification!) I do get the option to sign up for Apple Card, just not on my personal phone.

I too am a Family Share Organizer, and I had the option as of 3:00 A.M. last night.

Yeah, I'm sure it's just a matter of them continuing to randomly roll it out. I know my iCloud ID is still under the old me.com address, so hopefully that doesn't have anything to do with it. I did sign up that address as well just in case. :)

I plan on using mine solely as a forever card to keep a credit line in my portfolio. Chase cards aren’t much better with rewards, but with no annual fee, it only will help to keep another card open.

Now that it is set as my "Primary" Apple Pay card, I plan to use it anywhere that accepts Apple Pay instead of my Debit Card so it atleast gives me 2% back, and then when we eat out, etc I will use the Apple Physical Card so when servers walk off with the card I know moving forward no one will try and copy the number, etc.

I will still use my American Airlines Credit Card, Discover, Card, AMEX, etc for larger purchases but this Apple Card will replace my daily Debit Card purchases and I will just pay it off every week. :)

LOL on that. I signed up right after the event - with my gmail address, which is not my Apple ID email (that's also a me.com address). So I actually only signed up this week. Oops! No invitation yet, which is not really surprising.
