Nope - I didn't apply

For a fair number of people, I don't think this is a compelling product (or is it really a service?). The interest rate is on the high side and the perks are on the low side. And even if all my banking and investments were at Goldman, it looks like the Apple Card would still be separated from the rest of my financial life. That's massively inconvenient, no matter how secure or how great the standalone information for this account may be. I will probably apply, but it's really more out of curiosity than actual desire to have and use this card.

Does anyone have an educated guess about the server load from all the people repeated checking for an offer in the Wallet app? Would that be minimal, or does it use enough resources that having thousands (or more) people continually checking actually uses a noticeable amount of resources? (Put another way, did Apple set up a self-inflicted DDOS attack on itself?)

Aside from the rewards being medicore at best, we can't continue to feed this narrative that Apple can get away with murder. This is how we ended up with $1,000+ iphones - because people are quick to overlook errors on their part and will blindly buy any product put in front of them so long as it has an apple logo on it - even a credit card.

Wow everyone getting approved. Well kindof, Opened my wallet today and there was the Apple Card. Went through and applied and BOOM!! Declined. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
Same thing happened to me, it's because I have student loans. I tried contacting Goldman and Apple and neither would/could help me. They just kept telling me I can always reapply at anytime

I wonder if it is state-by-state...the link from up the thread hasn't worked for anyone in Indiana that I know of (I sent it to a few people that were interested), but it did work for a friend in Georgia.
I don't think it's state by state because one of my friends was able to apply and I am not. He even got the email invite.

I did not receive an email but I was able to apply this morning. TU score 760, credit utilization 8%, no negatives, most cards have high limits up to $50k. Had to upload my ID during the application process. Texas here.

I'm just really hoping this is a beginning for Apple Card. I think Apple will try to find new different features and promotions to keep it fresh. I imagine they will offer some kind of promotions at certain stores sometimes along with sho
Has anyone been able to apply on the iOS 13 beta? Debating on whether I should downgrade to iOS 12.
I have heard of quite a few people getting it on the iOS 13 beta so you should be fine. I'd recommend to just keep trying every hour or so. I never got an invite but mine worked at about 11 last night (LA California)

That's what I figured. Thanks.

I feel your pain! Soo aggravating to have an 812 credit score, always pay everything on time, never late. I am at 11% credit utilization. I get this....ugghhh!!!

I have been trying the link and not able to apply (only seeing old cards -- ugh) -- also, signed up like 5 or more times. On the east coast, so I wonder if it has anything to do with the time zone difference. Really hope that all people who signed up get a chance to apply before they release it to the general public.

When I signed up, I was given a choice as to whether or not I wanted the physical card. I of course said yes, and they said it should arrive in 3-5 business days. Depending on whether or not they count today as one of those days I should receive the card between Monday and Thursday of next week.

question to those who have good credit, over 800 and still getting interest rates over 17.99%, did you put in a high total household income or do you live alone so your total household income low? just want to know how people with good credit are getting high interest rates.

Me too man! I’d love to know how I got bent over a saw horse..lol!!

I live alone and I put my income as 113,790. Which is slightly inflated, but pretty close.

This is a good question, curious if I should include my Wife's income as well. Assuming yes as we pay the bills together and what not?

LOL on that. I signed up right after the event - with my gmail address, which is not my Apple ID email (that's also a me.com address). So I actually only signed up this week. Oops! No invitation yet, which is not really surprising.

I did the same thing.

Have tried the Wallet app a couple times....nada.

I don't actually know the answer, but am interested. Household income for a single-person card doesn't really make much sense to me, but that proves nothing.

Are your student loans past due or are they in forbearance? Did you credit get dinged?

I have a few that are in charge off because of I lost my job and had a hard time finding one for awhile, plus I had a company that I was paying to handle my debt but it turned out to be a scam. These didnt prevent me from getting a Capital One card, Discover IT card and an amazon store card. And no my credit didnt get dinged, the terms state that only if accepted itll be a hard pull..
