Nope - I didn't apply

I'm glad you're one of the lucky few to (finally) get your invite, but if you wanted it I think you should still get it. I'm still waiting and beginning to think I'll have to wait until later in the month when Apple releases it to everyone. Such a waste of time signing up, tho.

This is a general message to anyone complaining about interest rates - you should pay off your balance in full each month. The interest rate should never come into play. In general, people that are being charged interest are a higher risk to Goldman Sachs and they indeed will get a higher interest rate.

I've got a metal card, and was surprised to get a FedEx overnight envelope to return the card to them. Normally, with the plastic ones, scissors work to destroy them, but they actually wanted that card back and strongly urged me to return it. It came with a FedEx call tag too, they paid for the return. I found it odd, but...

Also I did hear of a guy that sharpened the edge of his card, and was able to cut things, and throw it and stick it in walls. I guess the world is full of odd people... *shrug*

Perhaps they want to recycle it?

Just got an invite!!!!

Edit : And denied! LOL

Well I just got the invitation email. I’m deciding if I should enroll or not. Does anyone know how it works if I am a college student with no real income?

You most likely won't be approved, but its worth a shot since it is only a soft pull. I am a senior college student with 700+ credit score but since there are loans on my report, even though I'm not making payments yet, I was denied because they are too high given my income

Don’t apply. We don’t know how strict this card will be yet.

Do you have any credit history? If no, most likely you will not be approved and the hard pull will be for nothing. Safe bet would be to start with a secured credit card.

Edit: apparently it’s only a soft pull unless you are approved and accept it.

Without any recorded credit or income you may be denied or they may offer you a $5K at 24.99%.

Don't take it as 24.99% is a horrible rate unless you pay off every month.

25% is crazy!

They only do a soft pull to check for eligibility, they do not do the hard pull until after you accept the card, APR, and CL

Actually I already do have a Visa credit card on another account and I’ve been reliable with payments, so that should help me I imagine. Regardless, I will probably wait to see how strict they are regarding their acceptance of applicants.

When I signed up, I was given a choice as to whether or not I wanted the physical card. I of course said yes, and they said it should arrive in 3-5 business days. Depending on whether or not they count today as one of those days I should receive the card between Monday and Thursday of next week.
I was told the same thing..applied day one, received card today.
Priority overnight via fedex. No signature required for anyone that’s wondering

Is it possible that people who signed up on the day of the event who have not gotten an invite were disqualified through soft pull/pre-qualification checks?
