I just clicked the link and after days of randomly trying it went through, approved! I did not include my household income, only mine. In the application it did not say anything about including household income, it said if you had a joint account that someone else deposited in that you can add that. My wife and I still have 2 accounts, both our direct deposit goes into our own. My account for mortgage and hers for bills, tmi I know but just wanted to give some info for others applying.

You don’t speak for the masses. The card is good on many levels.

I think for some users it is. It’s a world elite MasterCard or at least I read that somewhere being offered to subprime users. For those type users it’s not just good but great.

I do question Apple reaching down that low. Obviously they want to push Apple Pay. But it begs the question why they didn’t make a better effort with rewards. Or on the redeeming end.

Keep in mind they sell at msrp. They can offer Ed and veterans discounts. Gift cards on sale for 20% off or more at retailers often.

Perhaps they have a premium option in mind later. But as it is even if I got the card I wouldn’t feel compelled to actually use it.

Got it this morning guys! No invite. No link. I just clicked the plus symbol. And it was there! Good luck to everyone else still waiting!

Got a call today — engineers wanted some additional information. I still get the error (unavailable) if I try to apply. Waiting game for me as well. Frustrating. Let me know, as well, if you get any resolution to this problem.

So far I have heard nothing. When I originally called they took my IMEI number and SEID number. The guy I talked to said he would call me back, that was Thursday morning.

Here is the link. Use your phone to open it. It will bring up the Apple Card in the wallet app, but it will only take you to the next screen once apple as authorized your Apple ID (via the staggered roll out).

https://wallet.apple.com/apple-card/setup/feature/ccs?

Thanks! I ended up not needing it. All i had to do is click the plus sign in the wallet app. And got approved! No email. Very quick process. And i have added it to my wallet as default. Now i got to think, where can i go to try it out? :):D

I emailed my Apple guy every day (and he was very good about responding). Thought we had something on Friday, but it ultimately didn't work. I tried the link last evening and was able to apply. Seems the problem was associated with my AppleID. Make sure the AppleID on your phone matches the AppleID you signed up with to be notified of the release. The AppleID my invite was sent to was not even one of my AppleIDs -- it was one of my "reachable at" email addresses. And that wasn't even the email address I signed up with. So go figure how that all happened...

A little update on my end with the denial for “recently past due” I’m beyond frustrated. Been on the phone with countless agents also just got off the phone with TransUnion and they said I’m 100% not past due on anything on my credit report. Just such a spit in the face to get denied for something 100% false. Also Goldman Sachs said they can’t do anything on their end everything has to go through the wallet app. They did escalate the matter but I’m pretty certain nothing will be resolved. I might as well just forget this stupid card and move on. Good luck to everyone waiting for invites though!

Feel your pain. Got denied on mine as well despite there being a 30 point difference between TransUnion and another agency. Tried messaging with Apple/GS and got the same similar response to contact TransUnion, but sounds like that's been less than fruitful for others as well. Will maybe try again in a few days or so after the official launch in case Trans updates their stuff.

Yeah let’s hope something gets fixed. I personally thing something is broken with their system. It’s crazy some people on here with like 839 credit scores getting 18% interest rates and some guys in the mid 700 getting the 13% interest rate. I would say their system is a little off with applying at the moment.

Yeah, I may just wait a bit. Like you said with the above, and then some with no credit history getting approved, etc, their algorithm seems a bit wonky. The GS rep did say they use TransUnion, Equifax, FactorTrust and SageStream for what its worth. So far have only seen TransUnion though.

Edit: Saw some posts in the Reddit thread say that got denied before getting the email, and then after getting the email, they got approved. Not sure if that'll be the case for everyone, but just wanted to throw that out there as well.

Lol dude it’s just a card. You’re getting way to worked up over nothing.

Haven't received an email from Apple but just thought I'd try adding it in Wallet today and it showed up! Activated and card is ordered! I put my email in to be notified back when the card was first announced and again last week on Thursday.

I did the same thing. I read it very carefully to see if it was asking for household or personal income, and everything seemed to be personal income. I probably got a lower limit because of it, but since I pay it off every month, I won't be hitting 7.5k anyway.

It was household income. There was a little blue link you could click and it specifically mentions spouse income or income you have access to.

!!!DO NOT THROW OUT THE WHITE APPLE CARD HOLDER TILL AFTER ACTIVATION!!!

My card just arrived. It would not activate no matter how I placed the card close to my MAX. Tried over and over no luck. THEN I put the card back in the Apple sleeve/envelope and it activated instantly.

What ever activates the card is not the card itself, it is the envelope! I can remove the card and getting the phone near the empty envelope attempts activation.

Maybe this will help someone else.
